He tried.
He tried to be positive. He tried to be nice. He tried to keep his head up.
But he failed. He failed and that weighed more than trying.
Trying didn't get him far.
So what if he stopped trying? What if he discontinued doing little things that he usually does?
They wouldn't even notice. No one would.
He tried because maybe, against all odds, they would.
So he tried.
He tried to be kind. He tried to keep his head up. He tried to help.
He tried to his last breath.
But at least he tried his hardest.
