Jojo POV

I watch in horror, as my friend grabs her stomach and falls to her knees.

Eva smirks and I run to Angela's side.

"You weren't supposed to kill her, you idiot! Just wound her!" I stare down at Angela and she's staring up at me, gurgling on her own blood.

                            Flash back

A day after my conversation with Eva, I'm scrambling up a plan to warn Angela about Eva's plan to kill her and take out the Anoa'i family.

I've started and deleted text messages to send to her and I've called and hung up before the call could connect. There's no way  I can call her with Eva's goons walking around my place.

She obviously doesn't trust me, and she shouldn't. But, there's absolutely no way I'm letting Eva kill my best friend..

I look down at my cell and go to my contacts. I scroll past Angela's number and press Eva's.

Hitting the green call button, I listen to the dial tone ring once, twice and on the third ring; she picks up.

"What's up, Jojo? Have you decided to join in on my plan?"

Grinding my teeth together, I inhale deeply.

"I'm not letting you kill Ang. I don't give a fuck what you do to me. You're not killing her!"

"Then why the hell are you calling me?"

"Because, I have a proposal to make and I think you'll like it." I say.

Eva is silent for a minute and sighs.

"Fine, what do you have in mind?" She ask.

"You don't actually want to kill Angela. At least not yet. You want her to suffer, first."

"That is true. That bitch gets everything she wants and I do want her to suffer."

"Then how about we hand her back over to someone who's tortured her the most? Don Michaels. Let's completely break her, before we kill her." Just saying this shit makes my stomach churn.

"Mmm, I like the way you think, Jojo! Where's all this creativity coming from? Just the other day, you were conflicted and now, you're becoming the mastermind of this game."

Rolling my eyes and holding back the bile gats rising in my throat, I chuckle and switch the phone to my other ear.

"Yeah, well...I realize that you're right. Angela has been the one to gets everything so easy. Despite her mom dying and her dad turning into a psycho, she's been more fortunate than both of us."
