As Marlo and Matthew  walked hand in hand to the meeting hall he didn't look at her once-he couldn't. He was afraid that she would see the huge smile on his face. He didn't know why he was smiling so much, all he knew was that when she was around things were just a little bit brighter and better . When they reached the meeting hall doors he sighed and reluctantly detached his hand from hers. He took his seat beside Kaylie Rivers.  He hadn't wanted to sit by her it was just the way Master had assigned the seating.

Kaylie had short  black hair  and green eyes. She was short and currently dressed in a knee length, strapless, cotton candy pink dress. She despised  Matthew so he knew that he was in for a lecture the moment he sat down next to her.

"Stupid, blonde boys," She snarled as she angrily yanked at the fabric of her dress that Matthew had purposely sat down on.

" I don't think we're stupid," he said casually," I actually consider us to be quite smart. I bet that the whole 'blondes are stupid' thing was created by a girl who looked very much like you and furthermore had just had her heart broken by some very good looking blonde much like myself."

"Just shut up already, Matthew!" she shouted- the whole room heard her," When you speak it's like my ears are begging  to be cut off."

"That could be arranged Miss. Rivers," Master said   as he  took his place on the raised podium in the center of the room. Nobody had seen or heard him enter the room.

She blushed and looked at the floor.

Ha, Matthew thought, I won this time Kaylie.

He waited for the meeting to begin.

The meeting hall was a lot like the amphitheater that Marlo had woken up in, although the meeting hall was slightly larger. There was row upon row of seating and to Marlo's surprise every seat was occupied. All the seats faced the raised platform in the center of the room that had a podium on it. Behind the podium stood Master. She tried not to look at him as she took her seat.

She looked around the room and to her shock she saw many  familiar faces  in the large crowd. She saw Marco Peor-- her boss, Tom Roper, and Rose Oliver. It hurt a little bit to find out that they had been working for that creature.

"Alright, alright," Master's voice rang out through the room. Everyone fell silent," As many of you know we have had our eye on a certain human girl lately."

A panel of people that sat very close to Master nodded. That was where she had seen Marco Peor and the others sitting. They must be his closest followers, Marlo thought with disgust.

Master grinned," I am pleased to inform you that I we have finally got her in our grasp!"

The panel cheered loudly.

The cheers stopped short as an arrow flew across the room and imbedded its self in Tom Roper's throat.

Master dusted off his sleeves and began to speak again," As I was saying......  Ah, yes. I want to thank all of you who have spent the last twenty-one years of your useless and pointless lives spying on, employing, and sadly befriending this girl. You're hard work as paid off and I am sure that Tom would have been very pleased by all of this and grateful for the recognition of his excellent spy work had he not just been killed for interrupting me."

Marlo was feeling slightly dizzy after watching Tom Roper die. He had been her most faithful customer for the last three years and it turns out he was just spying on her.

" Now, without further ado," He began again, a slight smile playing at his mouth," I present to you, Marlo Hope."

Applause broke out and a man nudged her  in the elbow telling her to go to the center of the room.
