I push away the tears and go to the make up room. Don't cry Ash, this is what we chose 1 year apart to work on our careers.
I walk in to the dressing room and see Philippa. "Hey Phil." "Hey, wow you look down what's wrong?"
"It's nothing."
"Okay, hey have you heard all of next weeks shows got cancelled so we have two weeks of christmas vacation."
"Wait what, really? "
In my head a plan begins to form.
Phil keeps rambling on, but my head can only think about one thing: Maddie.
"Wait Phil I have to make a call."
I call American airlines, god, of course that stupid wait music comes first.
"Hi American Airlines with Lina, how can I help you? "
"Hi, Aslyn here, are there still tickets available from New york to Los angels."
"Yes a few, but you have to be quick."
"Okay thanks."
I book a ticket and go behind the wings to get ready.
After the show I pack my bag and leave the house.
I take the plane.
When I arrive in Los Angeles I text Gina, their working on a film together so I hope she knows where Maddie is.
Me
Hey do you by any chance know where Maddie is?
Gina
Yes I do , she's on set right now, but she's going home in like 5 minutes. Why?
Me
Okay thx I'm gonna suprise her so don't tell her I asked.
Gina

I walk to the hotel Maddox is staying at and wait around the corner of the hall where her room is.
I hear her coming this way and I step out of my corner
"Surprise."
"Omg Ash you're here"
"I thought we both deserved a christmas together."
