I was completely drained physically, mentally, and emotionally. I had no idea how much time had passed; days felt like an eternity in that dark, horrifying place. All I could think about was how badly I wanted it to end, even if it meant death.
"Please..." I cried, my voice hoarse and desperate. "Please, just kill me," I begged, tears streaming down my face.
The demons found my pleas amusing, and their laughter echoed in the room.
Kieran leaned in and placed his hand on my neck. "You're way too pretty for that. But I must say, I like the sound of you begging me." Then he forced a kiss on my lips, and I felt a wave of disgust and fear wash over me.
Suddenly, Crowley appeared, his presence commanding and threatening but somehow relieving to me. He pushed Kieran away, slamming him onto a table. "That's not what I pay you for, is it?!" he scolded, pinning Kieran down by his throat.
"No– No, sir. I– I'm sorry, sir," Kieran stuttered nervously.
"The next time I see either of you acting like a horned-up teenager, you will become a blood bag, just like that sorry sap." Crowley pointed to the demon still dangling next to me. "Do you hear me?" he demanded, but the demons quickly responded with fearful nods.
He released his grip on Kieran. "Get up and get out. Both of you!" Crowley ordered.
Then, both Kieran and Xander hastily left the room, leaving me alone with him.
"Next time you're in here, I expect more professionalism!" Crowley grumbled in annoyance.
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his comment. "So sorry for you."
"Get some rest. We need your energy up for another round," he instructed before turning to the demon hanging beside me. "Still alive?" he taunted, slapping the demon's legs. The demon twitched in response, and Crowley checked for a pulse with a twisted grin. "Ah, yes." He slapped the demon on the butt. "You still got some life in you." The demon wriggled and yelled into his duct tape as Crowley walked away, seemingly amused by the demon's suffering.
I welcomed the darkness that overcame me as I passed out from exhaustion. Even if only for a short while, the relief of getting some rest was all I needed at the moment.

"Maddison? Maddison?" Cass's familiar gruff voice rang through my ears as I was shaken awake.
He was standing in front of me when I opened my eyes, and even though he had crossed us, I was so happy to see him. "Cass." I smiled weakly, trying to suppress the pain I felt all over my body.
"Sweetie. You look tense," Crowley said as he appeared before us.
"You said you wouldn't hurt her," Cass growled, turning to face Crowley.
Crowley shrugged. "Technically, I haven't."
"She's covered in blood." Cass gestured to me. "You said you could use her to bring back Eve, but you wouldn't need to hurt her."
"You knew?" I asked, my throat tightening and my lip quivering.
"I didn't know he would do this," Cass said, looking upset.
"But you knew he was going to take me?" I asked.
"I knew we needed you," he said and looked away.
"Needed me? Why?" I asked. "You want to bring Eve back, too?"
Cass nodded. "Yes, she holds the secret to Purgatory."
"If you needed her alive!" I shouted. "Why did you help us kill her?!"
