~Micheal's P.O.V~

I woke up, much to my dismay, still on the beach, sitting up I groaned as agonizing pain shot from my hip to my head causing a splitting headache. By now the sun was going down......'Is it the next day, or did I only sleep a few hours' I couldn't tell. Was there any way to tell, I quickly checked my back for my backpack, to my surprise it was still there, soaked but still there. I grabbed it and moved the bag in front of me, searching through it for my phone, the screen protector was shattered. I crossed my fingers hoping that the phone still worked, holding down the power button it turned on, however the phone was only at 5%. I tried to stand but failed and ended up falling back down onto the ground, I opened my phone and dialed 911. "911 what's your emergency?" I was shocked that there was a signal, "Please, my plane crashed and I don't where I am", "Sir, please don't prank call, there might actually be someone who is hurt waiting for someone". "This isn't a prank call, please can you trace me?" I was frantic, "Sir...have a nice day" the operator hung up.

Hot tears began to build in my eyes again, 'and I called Chris a crybaby' I thought wiping them away. I looked at the percentage which was now 3%, I swear the percentage goes down faster when you actually need it, this time I called my dad, he would believe me. My phone rang a few times, but there was no answer, 'Dad this isn't the time for you to not have your phone on you' I thought. I dialed Clara's number, my phone was at 2%, now this was a race against time, my phone rang twice before someone picked up on the other line, "CLARA!?" I asked my voice was raspy, I was in need of a drink but there was no time. "Terrence... is everything all right?", "No! No it's not the plane went down, and I don't know where I am, I called 911 but they just hung up, I don't know what to do mom!" I said really fast, time was ticking and my phone was at 1%.

"Terrence are you serious?! Don't be joking about this kind of stuff" Clara said, "I'm not, my phone's about to die, please believe me" I begged hoping she would believe. "Hang on, Liz what do you need". I was in shock, she didn't believe me, I inhaled a shaky breath knowing that Clara didn't believe me, so I hung up. I quickly went to the family group chat and typed a quick message for them all. "I Love you guys", I pressed send and it went through right as my phone died, I buried my face into my knees and cried knowing that I would most likely not make it out of here alive to ever see any of them again. I even wanted my mom, at this point I would give anything if it meant seeing her, I should have called my mom...she would have believed me. I gritted my teeth and tried to stand up again this time using a rock that I was next to, to pull myself up.

I grunted in pain as I stood up straight, my hip throbbing, making my headache worse, I looked at the lake and thought for a moment. 'It would be smarter to drink out of the lake and use the water bottles just in case but...I know there is a dead body in that lake' I gagged remembering Charles's lifeless body just floating there, only being held in by seat belts......'Did he have a phone?' I asked myself, I should probably go back down there later to see what I can salvage. I jumped as wolves howled in the distance, 'I should try and make a fire, it would help with the bugs and would signal any planes' I looked around in my bag, pulling out the wet outfits and hanging them on a branch to dry, as the ones I were wearing were stained with blood and ripped to shreds. I also pulled out the instant food and three sandwiches that were luckily, in plastic bags so they weren't soaked and ruined. I couldn't help but thank the lord for my paranoid little brother at that moment, then I took out the Hatchet, that would most likely come in handy if I had to defend myself.

Last I took my pocket knife off of my jean shorts that were ripped to shreds, and laid it next to the pile of what I have. 'It would also be smart to only use the instant food packets if I can't find any food for that day, I sighed and looked around at what I had to work with. I kind of wish I would have brought my lighter, but chances are it would have been destroyed in the crash. I put everything back into my backpack and moved to an area a little further away from the lake, it wouldn't be smart to do it right next to the lake incase it rained and the lake got bigger. I moved to an area that was mostly flat looking and began to clear the area out. I knew that this was going to take a while, but I could use the leaves and the stick I clear out for a fire and for a shelter if necessary.
