Ricky walked onto the local car dealership lot on Route 68, where a salesman would pop up almost out of thin air and try to convince Ricky to buy a Honda Civic as they were popular at the car dealership and in the local area, but Ricky cared little. Then, as he was looking over the lot, a car caught his eye. He then walked past the salesman who was still trying to sell Ricky on a new Honda Civic. Ricky's gaze was dead set on a black Dodge Srt Hellcat challenger that was presented in front of him. Ricky then asked, "How much for that car?" The salesman's face then went surprised as he responded to Ricky, "Well, sir, that car is not for sale as it is my personal car." Ricky then said "I see how about $75,000?" the dealer looking shocked said, "No way that was the sticker price." Ricky then said, "Fine, $80,000.'' The dealer looked shocked as Ricky just purchased his car.
After some paperwork, Ricky found himself in love with his new car as soon as he sat behind the wheel. He placed his stuff in the backseat and would drive to one of his personal weapons stashes that he had hidden at an old mine near the Sandy Shores airport.
Once there, he would venture into the mine, and once inside, he would turn on the light to reveal a pallet worth of AK-47s, 1911s, and body armor.
Ricky grabbed an AK-47 and body armor. He then walked back to his car, and on his way out of the cave, he found a pair of his black ski goggles sitting at his desk. Ricky stared at them before picking them up. Once back in his car, he would take apart the AK-47 and place the pieces in many different places inside the car. Ricky would look at himself in the mirror and lower his bandana to once again reveal a burned and rough face. As the burns crept up the right side of his face, Ricky would reflect for a minute before pulling his bandanna back up and placing ski goggles back on his face. He slipped the car into drive and headed towards the local hospital, where Kevin's pharmacist friend worked.
After a short drive, Ricky stepped out of the car, he felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up. He turned and looked to see Robert Builder staring at him from the other side of the parking lot. Ricky, not wanting to get into a gunfight in public and still not fully recovered would ignore Robert and walk into the hospital. As he walked inside, nurse Noah greeted him at the front desk; Ricky asked where he could see the pharmacist. The nurse told Ricky where to find the pharmacist. Ricky walked down the hall to the left to find a small stand where he saw a clean-dressed man in a white lab coat. Ricky would walk up to the man and say, "Hey, I am a friend of Kevin's, and said you could help me with my problem." The pharmacist leaned in and said, "What do you need?" Ricky would explain that he was recently blown up, and the pharmacist would look horrified at Ricky's story and ask for proof, to which Ricky would reveal his face and arms to the pharmacist. The pharmacist said, "Wait here" As the pharmacist walked away Ricky started to get impatient and uneasy as security started becoming suspicious about Ricky.
After three minutes, the pharmacist returned with a white bag and said it would be two hundred dollars. Ricky looked shocked and was about to argue the price until another wave of pain hit him. Ricky changed his mind and agreed to pay full price just as long as the pain went away. Ricky handed the money over quickly, then once given the bag, he would open it in the lobby and proceed to pull out the classic orange pill container and take two painkillers. He then headed towards the door.
Once outside, Ricky would again meet Robert's gaze. It seemed his position had not changed as Ricky started walking to his car. He saw Detective Fox walking towards him on the sidewalk. Then when Fox was no closer than a foot or two away, he got close to Ricky and said: "Pardon me, sir, but you look like shit. If you need help or are in a bad position, don't be afraid to ask for help." Ricky looked at the detective and said, "Thanks for the tip." But Ricky continued for his car.
Once inside, he would call Kevin, asking him how far the trucks were from making their delivery. Kevin would tell him, "They just left now and should be there in an hour or so." Ricky would start up his hellcat, then head down to east Joshua and head towards the freeway to arrive at the Merry weather dock for the meeting. As Ricky was driving down the highway, he would see his transport trucks and follow them closely just to ensure they would arrive at their destination.
But as luck would have it, there was one Highway patrol officer who could not let this happen, and sure enough, as they passed by, one of the trucks got pulled over. They would be pulled over on the Los Santos freeway close to the Vinewood racetrack. Ricky would pull over with the transport truck as he had the papers for the shipment, and he wanted to ensure its arrival. Kevin would proceed with the first truck to the meeting point. Ricky and his shipment truck would sit on the side of the freeway waiting for this officer to get out of their car but soon after 3 minutes one cop turned into three more officers pulling up to this traffic stop.
The officer that originally stopped the truck would get out of his car and walk up to the driver of the semi-truck, and Ricky assumed the officer did the usual line of "Sir, do you know why I stopped you today?" Ricky felt safe knowing that his driver would not say anything, as all of Ricky's transport drivers could only speak either Spanish or Mandarin. They could also have been mutes. Ricky knew that officers would most likely let them go with a warning, as many officers did not want to waste their time calling for a translator.
Ricky watched in his rearview mirror as this officer struggled to speak with the truck driver, and Ricky saw another officer walk past the semi-truck and make a clear strive for Ricky's car. The officer put his hand on Ricky's roof and leaned into his car. He said, "Hello, my name is Officer Rosco of the San Andreas High Way Patrol. Can I ask you why you stopped here with this semi?" Ricky stated, "Ya, this is a new driver for my shipping company." The officer was clearly doubtful of that response. Ricky then handed over an envelope to the officer. "I will be right back." The officer then walked back to his car. As Ricky was gripping the wheel of his car tightly, he looked in the rearview mirror and saw that they had pulled the truck driver out of the semi.
Ricky saw that this plan was at risk of failing. He pulled out his phone and told Kevin to come back to get the truck. Ricky was getting ready to run as he would need to keep the law enforcement distracted while Kevin recovered the truck. Then his phone buzzed. Kevin sent back a thumbs-up emoji. Ricky, now feeling reassured, was ready to run from the cops. Then, sure enough, as they put the truck driver in the back of their squad car, the other officers opened their doors and pointed their now unracked weapons at Ricky.
Then, one officer over the PA system said, "Ricky Spanish, we know that it is you. step out of the car with your hands up and face away from us." Ricky sat in his car for a couple of seconds basking in the moment and he waited for the feeling of the adrenaline rush to hit him. Then sure enough his foot fell to the floor stomping the gas pedal, the hellcat lunging forward and screeching out as the tires tried to grip for traction. The officers would take the bait and follow Ricky.
They raced down the Los Santos freeway till Ricky took the next exit and sped past the Vinewood racetrack, and then he hit the dirt road that led to the Land Act dam. His car gripping on the dirt road, the officers, not far behind him, their siren heard throughout the hills. Ricky would take the right dirt road around the reservoir, and the dirt road would spit him out at the Palomino Freeway, to which he would still speed towards Sandy shores.
Ricky then took another off-ramp and went on Senora's way. As he passed the power plant, he saw a police roadblock of two cop cars and a spike strip on the ground. Ricky was not going to risk flipping the car, so he took the shoulder and just went around the roadblock. Then, as Ricky passed the roadblock, an officer fired their 12 gauge shotgun at Ricky's tires, but the officer was too slow, and the bullets just scraped the back of his car. Ricky would then look in his rearview mirror to see that the officers following him had stopped at the roadblock. Ricky raced to the train tunnel that went through Senora National Park and hid his car there as he waited for the dust to settle. After hiding there for five minutes, he noticed a police helicopter in the air. Ricky would wait in the train tunnel for an hour, and then afterward, he would emerge and head towards the Merry Weather dock.
