Chapter thirteen

The plan for Ricky was somewhat easy. He gathered information from other inmates and bribed guards to obtain the necessary tools and equipment. After months of planning, Ricky makes his move. He and a group of accomplices managed to tunnel their way out of the prison and into the surrounding woods. They were pursued by guards and tracking dogs, but Ricky was able to evade capture. He led the group through the dense forest and across treacherous terrain, eventually making it to the waiting box truck on the other side of the woods. The box truck would drop Ricky and the other prisoners in Stab City.

As the box truck's door fell open, the morning sun and the smell of fresh air made Ricky feel so content to be free once again. Prison had changed Ricky and given him a new outcome on life, and whether that was for better or worse, only time could tell. As Ricky walked out of the truck, he was greeted by Halsey and Kevin. Halsey would hug Ricky, but just like the times before, his arms were pinned to his side, and his eyes were fixed on mount chiliad and the Rising sun behind it. Once she was released, Kevin would hand Ricky a set of his clothing which consisted of a flannel shirt, blue jeans, black ski goggles, and his black cowboy hat and bandana.

Ricky would ponder whether to hand the clothing back to Kevin and just walk away from it all, but he thought of all the missed opportunities and the money still to be made and heart-racing action. So he decided to put his old clothes back on and return to work as San Andreas's best arm dealer. Once he arrived back at their production facility, he came back to find no workers but instead a mass firearm stockpile.

Ricky would ask Kevin, "What happened to the workers? And why am I looking at what seems to be six shipping containers full of Assault rifles and rounds for them." Kevin then explained to Ricky that since he was arrested, the local gun shops stopped making deals with them because they feared it would lead to their arrest since they were associated with selling illegal firearms and ammunition. Now seeing the whole picture, Ricky decided to send them an offering comforting their concerns about any law enforcement issues, but for those who still choose not to join Ricky.

He would let Halsey make an example out of them. But this would lead to police discovering Ricky's escape and the fact that he was burning any gun store and gun store owners who would not sell his merchandise. As the night fell over Sandy shores, Ricky would sit in his production warehouse and stay up late into the night looking through contracts for large firearm deals. As Ricky was done dealing with low-life street rats and decided that he should sell the most he could before the law enforcement bust his door down again.

As he was scrolling through the lists of contracts, his newly acquired flip phone vibrated, and it displayed an unread message from Natalia. Ricky was about to open his phone when a contact caught his eye. He placed his phone back on his disk and clicked on the contract. It was a Merryweather Security contract.

Ricky knew that he needed to land this contract as it would be able to open him up to a bigger world of arms dealing. Merryweather Security had ties everywhere, from the United States of America, Canada, South America, Central America, Africa, Western Europe, the Middle East, Former Soviet countries, and lastly, the Asia Pacific. Ricky looked over the contract. It was calling for two Mil Mi-24 attack helicopters. Now, this would be a big order to deliver, but Ricky was determined to do it as he wanted to prove that he could do business on a larger scale. Ricky now had a new problem: how could he acquire the needed amount to purchase or deliver on two Mil Mi-24 helicopters? Looking through the rest of the listings, he saw that Fort Zancudo was looking for Ak-47s.

Ricky would accept the contract for both, but he would take the Merryweather contract at a lower rate in order to promise him the deal. And doing things would open the gates for him to do business with them more in the future. Make deals with their partners. Now winding down after the rush of bidding on the contracts, Ricky would look over the flip phone on his desk to see that it displays an unread message from Natalia.
