Minghao stirred gently, adjusting to the slivers of sunlight that dawned into Junhui's rooms through the small openings of his bedroom curtains. He rubbed his eyes, clearing the bleary vision of the surroundings, and shifted his body to the edge of the bed where he could finally stand up. Checking his phone, it was still another 10 minutes till he was supposed to wake up, which sort of worked out since that meant the start of his day wouldn't have to be waking up to that god awful alarm sound. It took him a few moments to realise he was not standing in a familiar environment, and instead in someone else's room.

"You're awake," A man's voice travelled from the doorway. He turned to see Junhui folding his arms and leaning against the frame of the door, watching him intently. Smothering a yawn, Minghao wandered after the older man to the kitchen, where there was some food laid out on the table. He picked up a piece of plain bagel and bit into it, too lazy to apply anything on it. "Looks like you slept well," Junhui teased, knowing the younger was deep asleep the entire night.

"Mhm your bed's very comfy," Minghao said groggily. Junhui found it very cute that his eyes were still drooping, like he was about to fall asleep again. He pushed the remainder of the sunflower seed bagel into his mouth and headed to the shower. Just then, he seemed to remember something. "Jun?" He called after some consideration. Junhui faced him, raising an eyebrow. "Can I borrow your clothes?"

Time skip

Junhui had offered to send Minghao to work, which internally he was very grateful for since it meant he wouldn't have to squeeze into the crowd of the morning peak-hour subway. As he strolled to his desk with a light bounce to his step, his coworkers peaked their heads out from their respective cubicles, eyeing him like vultures. "He looks very different," Seungkwan not-so-softly whispered to Stacie, whom nodded her head suspiciously.

"I'm right here guys. I can hear you," Minghao narrowed his eyes on the two gossiping colleagues.

"Are you wearing someone else's clothes?" Another coworker, Soonyoung, had joined in on the conversation, not that there was much to talk about, Minghao had announced.

Minghao frowned, looking down at his attire. Was it really that obvious? "It could be my own," He insisted, wrapping the outer jacket tighter around his body. Soonyoung eyed him up and down, then nudged Seungkwan's shoulder.

"Nah, it's way too large on you. Tell me, is it a guy?" Stacie propped her chair right beside Minghao, leaning in and passing the sotto voce remark. Minghao leaned away, starting to feel a tiny bit cornered by the three currently staring at him.

Minghao sighed at the constant pestering and relentless questions. The only brief moment they stopped was when their boss had appeared out of nowhere to ask for an update, but then instantly restarted when she had walked off.

Seungkwan, watching her slowly round the corner, chimed in again, "Now don't be shy, spill! What's his name?"

Boring as usual, the only word that could possibly describe his day. In the past, he always had a sort of excitement when he walked into the clinic. Animal after animal coming in, some scared while others adventurous, would brighten his day whenever the paperwork got the better of him. Yet lately, for reasons still unknown, he looked forward to seeing a certain bubbly boy that had unconsciously filled his mind more than anything else at the end of the day. They had agreed to get dinner together after work, and for the first time in a long while, it gave Junhui an excuse to actually leave work on time.
