I put the car in park and turn the engine off. Gripping the wheel tightly, I breathe in and out slowly, trying to focus on not having a panic attack.

"I'm doing this for you, mama." I mutter under my breath.

I reach into my pocket and take out the small, silver flash drive. The one my father forgot to take with him when he was running away like a coward. My evidence against him.

I exhale loudly, then step out of the car - which I took from one of Eva's men. I know she can track me down, if she hasn't already, but I have just lost the ability to care about anything other than making my father pay. And I dare anyone who stands in my way.

"Come on, Sebby! You can do this."

Squaring my shoulders, I step into the bustling police station and walk up to an officer behind the front desk. "Good morning. I'm here to turn in my father."

The officer raises an unimpressed brow at me, popping the gum in her mouth loudly. "Fill out this form and wait in the seating area." She slides the form over to me.

"This is urgent." I slide the papers back to her. "And extremely important."

She sighs with an eye-roll. "Everything is urgent and important around here. Fill out the form."

"But I have very—"

"Excuse me, sir." A deep, male voice interrupts my frustrating conversation with the woman. I turn to see a tall, muscular man staring down at me with an unreadable expression. "I'm Detective Chase. What seems to be the problem here?"

"Nice to meet you, Detective. I'm Se—"

"Sebastian Ricci. Yes, I know." He nods then glances at the other officer. "I got it from here, Tess."

I can't see her but I'll bet she rolled her eyes again.

"H-How do you know my name?" I frown, confused and taken back.

"You're Giovanni Ricci's youngest son. You are very famous around here, Mr. Ricci." He gives a slight smile, yet his eyes seem to be taking me in with an almost greedy curiosity. So, I know he notices my flinch when he mentions him.

"Call me Sebastian, please."

"Why are you here, Sebastian?"

I know he heard me earlier, because he was standing a few feet away, so he almost seems to ask me if I am sure. I am surer than I have ever been in my life.

"To turn in my father."

"For what?"

"The murder of my mother."

~~~~~~
"This is certainly a compelling evidence, kid, but it might not be enough in court." Detective Chase says.
"But he killed my mother." I barely keep myself from yelling, my eyes welling up in frustration and despair. "That's him there. He deserves to rot in jail."
