"Yeah girl, coach Nekomata could've been on an FBI watchlist or something. Four years of flirting with a minor," you told Yemi, spreading the second coat of the polish.

"Oh, brother...wait, how did she even get a job there at fourteen?" Yemi asked, filing her nails.

"No idea, actually. Second person I've met who got one at that age, I wish I had one then." You sighed. "Damn, I just remembered I have work tomorrow. I love the free drinks, and working with Atsumu is really fun, but if I get one more rude customer I'm gonna push Java chips up my nose until I can't breathe."

"It's okay! You just gotta push through. Only—what—five more weeks 'till you move out?"

You shook your head. "Two. I still haven't found a place to move into yet, and Starbucks is actually not the best paying job in the world, so I have a limited amount I can spend. On top of that, we're so close to Tokyo that it's expensive as hell here. Ugh, I might have to get a roommate."

Yemi's eyes lit up. "Perfect!"

You gave her a confused look. "How is that perfect, Yems? I'm gonna be homeless next semester unless I find a good place."

"Yeah, that's perfect?" She said like it was obvious. "Because I just found this amazing apartment not too far from campus. It's really spacious, good location, and has two bedrooms. You already know I hate my bumass roommate so I was like, 'wait I should room with Y/n!'"

Your eyes widened this time and you frantically fanned the nail polish on your hand to speed up the drying process. "Yemi, that's so smart! Why did we never do that?"

You friend shrugged. "I actually do not know. Like, four years of being friends and we never considered living together? It would solve so many problems."

It would solve so many problems: your fear of dying alone in your apartment due to a break in, struggling with not knowing what to buy when grocery shopping (though neither you nor Yemi could cook, it would be nice to be clueless together), and never having anyone to talk to when you were home.

You nodded excitedly. "Show me the apartment!"

Yemi grinned widely, bringing out her laptop and clicking on the already open tab, a listing that had been up for two weeks already.

"See, it's not too far away!" She explained, "Great lighting, rooms aren't small, and the price is perfect to split between the two of us."

She scrolled through the photos and your eyes widened with each new one. It was so pretty, so spacious, there was so much natural light that flowed in through floor to ceiling windows. It was exactly the type of apartment that you would usually see in a big-city film.

"I looked at that 'dream home' Pinterest board you made in high school while looking," she admitted, laughing nervously. You gasped, turning to her with a hand covering your mouth.

"You know me so well."

She rolled her eyes, scrolling through the pictures. You were fascinated by just how perfect it really was for the both of you. Open kitchen, which was always a make it break for Yemi, two separate bathrooms, light wood floors—honestly everything you could ever want, and the fact that you would be living there with your best friend was so exciting.

"And even though it's so close, it's off-campus housing, so you can live there even after you graduate. Just to be clear, that's supposed to be this winter, right?"

You nodded. "We can live there while you finish school and I can work a little more to save up for med school."

"Exactly what I was thinking. You know, I'm really glad that you like this place! Especially since I already filled out an application, sent the link to you through your email, and requested a tour for tomorrow under both of our names."

You pursed your lips. "Yemi, you may have gotten too excited. I'm not mad though, that speeds up the process a whole lot. I'll fill out the application too."

You spent the next half hour filling out your application together, making plans for how you would decorate the place, what your ground rules would be; how you would split bills, when you could invite people over, who would do the dishes when, and if you'd have house parties or not. Yemi was ecstatic at this point.

"No, we have to have a Halloween party. It could be a costume party, we could invite all our friends—it would be so fun, trust."

You agreed. "I think I'll be a fairy for Halloween if we do that. I've wanted to be one so badly since I watched Winx Club in elementary school."

"And that's so valid! Oh, I think you're getting a call."

You looked down at your phone. Sure enough, you were being FaceTimed by Suna.

"Aw, bae misses you, answer." She teased. You looked at her, disgusted.

"Don't say that again." You ordered, picking up your phone and answering the call, immediately almost dropping it because you suddenly remembered that your nails weren't dry.

"Y/n?"

Yemi laughed at your panicked expression as you fumbled with it, trying to pick up the device using just your knuckles. Eventually, she felt bad enough to pick it up and lean it against the table leg for you.

"Sorry, I couldn't pick up my phone cause my nail polish hasn't dried yet." Yemi laughed again and you shot her a pointed glare. "What's up? Did you just get home?"

He nodded. "I got dropped off from practice a while ago, but I was showering and everything. The twins just got home, really hoping they don't barge into my room. Atsumu was analyzing your post earlier like a fucking detective, I feel like he can't shut up about it."

Your eyebrows raised. "I completely forgot I posted! Oh, right, I said I was gonna show you a picture of Kuroo earlier, didn't I?"

"I saw." He stated. You don't know what about his tone made you nervous, because it was fairly normal, but something about the way he didn't seem too excited to be talking about it upset you. You felt like you did something wrong by posting Kuroo on your account.

"Oh, alright. You remember him?"

Suna nodded. "Vaguely. He was pretty cool. Did you have fun? I don't think Kenma was very happy about not being shouted out."

You smiled, any doubt you had going away.

"Oh yeah, it was great! I love meeting up with those guys, they're real funny. But, I lowkey prefer just being with Yemi in my apartment, I like intimate hangouts."

"Aww," she cooed.

"Yemi's there?"

"You couldn't tell by her loud ass laughing?" You asked. Yemi flipped you off while Suna shook his head. You turned the screen to show yemi, now painting her nails.

"Hii," she greeted, too focused on doing a good French tip. Suna greeted her back before you turned the screen back to you.

"Anyway, I was just calling to see if we could meet up to work on the final project for ceramics on Saturday. You worked on the sketches, right?"

You nodded. "I have around five right now, I think they're alright. What time are you dropping by?"

"Is two at your place alright?"

You gave him a really dorky double thumbs up. He smiled.

"See you Saturday." He said before hanging up.

"I see you still haven't reflected—"

"Yemi, shut up."
