Your feet were cemented in place, eyes locked onto his, trying to figure out if Suna was really standing in the middle of your kitchen filling a kettle with water or if you were so tired that you had started hallucinating him.

It didn't help that his eyes were locked onto yours for a solid second and he barely moved an inch either, his lips parted as if he had something to say.

He eventually opted to say nothing and shut off the faucet, placing the kettle on the stove.

Then after moments of silence, he muttered something along the lines of, "Didn't know you would be here."

"I live here." you pointed out obviously. The urge to run back into your room fought the urge to keep talking to him as he turned back around to fill your watering can. The former was strong, really strong.

You took a deep breath, testing the waters by walking a few paces closer to the kitchen.

"You're not Osamu...and definitely not Aran."

"I'm the only person that isn't sick except for the cat, and Aran got called in to work. Samu said you had to catch a flight but you were asleep by the time I got here."

A thought flashed across your mind and you couldn't hold yourself back from asking him.

"Wait—did you move me to my room?"

Still avoiding your gaze, he nodded.

"...thank you." You said, stopping in the living room to fix the throw pillows you'd messed up while sleeping. "You can leave now, I'll take care of everything."

"Just go back to sleep or something, you already look like you're about ready to drop dead within the next three seconds."

"Excuse me?" You paused in the middle of fluffing a pillow, brows furrowing. "I'm fine. I feel fine, I look fine, I am fine. You can leave now."

"Your hand's been shaking since you picked up the first pillow." He pointed out, nodding at your hand that held the final pillow in a quickly weakening grasp. You dropped it to snatch your hand behind your back, hating the fact that he noticed you were still feeling weak.

"Please, go home." You nearly begged, feeling your heartbeat speed up as the ghost of a smile passed over his lips. You were not ready to talk to him, be semi-normal with him.

He shook his head, putting the watering can on the counter and taking the quickly boiling kettle off of the stove. "Get better so I can leave. It's not like you can do anything on your own in this state."

"Fuck you," You said in response. It just slipped out, something that you would have said to Yemi, Atsumu, anyone else you were close to if they had pointed out your inability to do anything on your own while sick.

Turning around and fighting off a cough, you had to remind yourself that this was tricky ground. Suna usually understood your silly insults, but who knew if he did after so long?

Though in hindsight, two months wasn't an egregious amount of time. It wasn't long enough for you to forget him how you wanted to at first, and neither was it long enough for you to see him and not want to hug him and apologize.
