"Look at this video," you laughed as you lowered your phone for Sakusa to see. He chuckled a bit.

You were laying on the couch in the living room of his apartment, legs losing over the couch and head directly beside his. Sakusa sat on the floor, leaning against the couch.

"Hey, do you want something to eat?" he asked. You shrugged.

"I could go for Ihop," you said, resting your head in your arms, "but I don't think I'm allowed back there yet."

Sakusa shook his head, laughing. "It hasn't been a year yet?" you shook your head.

Last year, you and Yemi were banned from Ihop after accidentally nearly lighting the building on fire. It was such an unreal experience, Yemi had just wanted to smell her new candle and you'd bumped into an addict on the side of the street who offered you their lighter to help motivate them to recover.

You tried to light her candle but the flame was huge, she dropped it, and a bush may have caught on fire right outside the restaurant. To this day, she still blamed the recovering addict who gave you that bad lighter.

"Okay, how about pizza?"

You shook your head. "Too basic. And kinda expensive."

"I'm paying," he told you, leaning his head back. You watched him closely, not failing to notice how the sight of him with his head back, hair falling into the couch cushion under his head, showing his sharp jawline didn't do much to you anymore. A year ago, you would be weak in the knees.

"Well," you started, "that changes things! I think we should go to the seafood place that has the live crabs."

"A bread basket there is like a hundred dollars though,"

"Well that sucks for whoever's paying. Luckily, it's not me!"

Sakusa chuckled, it made you smile a bit. He turned to face you and it was then that you realized how close your faces were. He was staring deeply into your eyes and you were staring right back.

Until you got the deep urge to throw up.

You slapped a hand over your mouth and rushed to stand, feeling yourself get light-headed for a moment and your vision darkening before returning to normal. You rushed down the hall of his apartment.

He called after you, but you ignored it and ran to his room, right into the bathroom. You took a few seconds to breathe, locking the door behind you and leaning against it.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Sakusa asked from the other side of the door. You swallowed hard.

"I, uh, I think my period started?" you lied without even thinking about it.

He was silent for a second. "Are you okay?"

You nodded before remembering he couldn't see. "No, I'm good...thanks."

He told you to call him if you needed anything and said he'd go get the food while you were "busy". That gave you the time you needed to just stand there and think about what could've possibly just happened.
