Khanri'ah is one of the most prosperous nations in teyvat, though they were not favoured by the world for their conquest for land and power...Each day the king and queen waged onto war onto war. Reigning every single one of them, building an empire like no other.
The great towering volcanoes of Khanri'ah created a shield that sheltered its people from invading forces, and the ocean waves that crashed against the rocky coast not letting anyone in or out. Those mysterious lands stayed as long as time itself.

Since the dawn of the civilisation, the pursuit of knowledge and power has been central to their culture driving people to strive for unseen greatness even if the knowledge they are seeking is detrimental to their body and mind...but they kept digging and digging no matter the cost. They become intoxicated...obsessed and hungry feeling as if the knowledge they learnt was the only purpose in life. They made the greatest sacrifice for the knowledge that they sought for and were mighty heroes of the nation... As they searched, they awakened a force greater than the gods..in order to read—to comprehend they morphed their bodies into something ... other worldly, ghastly, monstrous no one could recognise whether they were even humans not even their own family. They were applauded and celebrated nonetheless.

This was their fatal flaw...that caused the hev'nx genisis As the air got polluted with knowledge that the common and the blue blood couldn't fend off, they themselves were turning into the great monsters of the knowledge bearers. A plague of their own demise. In a desperate bid the king and queen revenged by the disease decided to wage war on all their neighbouring nations before their death, leaving their children who were miraculously unaffected to deal with all the kingdom's faults.
