Festus

Everyone was waiting, just waiting.

Festus wasn't sure what everyone was thinking, but he was willing to bet it was about him. If he was still in shock about having a curse what would everyone else think. Festus's head started to pound, his mark/curse, whatever you want to call it-was burning too. The world around him started to blur, he thought he might of heard his name, but he couldn't be sure. His world started to turn black, and before he knew the world around him was tilting upwards.

Festus opened his eyes. He was surrounded, not by monsters, not by people, not by animals, but by darkness, was he asleep? If so he didn't like it, it was like a dream that you were aware of. Instead of being surrounded by well anything, he was surrounded by a deep dark expanse. He had no where to go, and no one to be with. He was all alone, and there was nothing he could do.

"Festus." a voice. "Festus, wake up." It was desperate, but it was commanding, "Festus please! Wake up!" Festus wasn't ready to get up. His body felt heavier than the time Leo mad him fly for twelve hours straight.

Even though he felt compelled to listen to the voice so he forced himself to open his eyes from the darkness to the real world, slowly but surely. His eyes where open but he couldn't quite see, he was aware but not completely in control.

From what Festus could tell he was in a dimly lit, and fairly dingy tent. He noticed the tint had more than just the voice he had heard. One, two, three, four. He counted four, four people. Even though he couldn't tell who they were.

"Hey, he's waking up." All the body's shuffled toward Festus. "Hey glad your okay. I was beginning to think that you weren't going to wake up again."

Festus noticed it was the voice from earlier, but he couldn't make out who it was. It was like the voice he was hearing was coming through a wall of glass. Not okay with this feeling he tried squinting hard and shaking his head. After recovering from the dizzying affect he opened his eyes, hoping for something, but nothing everything was the same maybe even worse.

Festus realized someone was talking again and he tried to make out what they were saying, "Body... recovering... charmspeak... a few more days..." even with all of his concentration this was all he could make out. Not caring enough to try and listen anymore, Fesuts closed his eyes and let his mind run free.

"Why is my body like this, I can't do anything right or good." he thought, "I wonder if everyone else's body is like this too. No probably not." Festus let his mind wonder over all the reason as to why his life as human was so hard, and it had only just begun. He didn't complain but he didn't want everything this hard. Would he have stayed a dragon if he knew it was going to be this hard as a human? No probably not, he loved Leo too much. Even if he didn't like how hard things were-for gods sake it was hard for him to even move-he wouldn't give up, if only for Leo.

Before Festus knew it he had stopped thinking and fell back into a deep dark dream, could he call it that though? It felt more like a nightmare. Instead of thinking about it, he decided to let the darkness envelope him and surround him, falling into a sleep, within a sleep.

A/N I would just like to mention that the curse isn't a real one in Greek mythology. I tried researching something close to it (partially the reason for no update) but I couldn't find anything close to it so yeah. Lol hope you enjoy the chapter mwah mwah.

Festus: Wait what do you mean "mwah mwah" what the hell is happening to me?

Me: I don't know *runs away*

Leo: Hey get back here that's my dragon you're writing about!

Will: Looks like he is gone.

Nico and Piper: Keep reading and commenting, see you next chapter!
