The Real You

Oh, the game has horror in it. Greaaaat.

"Okay kid, so this is how a spell circle is done. The bigger the circle the bigger the spell", Eda yawned before swaying and collapsing on the ground. Luz yelped and dropped her phone that she was using to record Eda's spell.

"EDA?!", Luz yelled as she shook her witch mentor. Eda mumbled something, but didn't wake.

"Fuck, I killed Eda!", Luz said in a panicked voice. King, the cute little demon dog looking thing that Amity gushed over when he first made an appearance, laughed and said "Nah, she just gets like that if she uses too much magic up."

"Does that happen to all witches?", Luz said nervously.

King just shrugged and bapped Eda on the nose and giggled.

"Oh my god, this little guy is the cutest fucking thing I have ever seen or heard in my life!", Amity squealed.

A new objective flashed across the screen, "Get Eda to her room", so Amity controlled Luz to lift Eda onto her shoulder like a sack of potatoes. "Ugh, holy shit Eda you're heavy", the girl mumbled.

Amity snorted at that and continued to take Eda to her room, which was really odd. There was a huge nest in the middle of the room instead of a bed. It was filled of shiny items while the rest of the room had random items strewn throughout it.

"What the- oookay Eda is more weird than I thought-", Luz muttered. She laid Eda gently into the nest, tucking her in with the quilt that was lying inside of it. Eda mumbled and snorted in her sleep. King waddled up and bapped Eda on the nose again, giggling more.

"Hey King don't do that, let's let her sleep mkay?", she told King in a firm tone. He relented and they both walked out of the room.

The two went downstairs and sat on the worn sofa. "Hey Luuuuz? Do you wanna learn about demons?", King asked.

"Oh sure buddy! I can wait till Eda is back on her feet to learn more magic from her. Maybe after your lesson I can review the footage I got!", Luz said with a soft smile at the little demon dog thing.

King giggled and rubbed his claws together, pulling a hat out and putting it on his head. He set up an easel with a diagram of a demon called The Snaggleback.

"Sooo, Snagglebacks are vicious creatures! They typically tear their victims limb from limb slowly, slowing the death process."

"JESUS that horrible!"

"I know! It's great right?!"

"Uhh sure bud-"

King opened his mouth to speak before the room went dark, in fact the entire house went dark.

"Uhh Hootie? Hm maybe he went to sleep cause of the boiling rain?", Luz questioned. Then the hair on her neck rose.

"Um- do you sense a little bit of danger in the air?", King asked, hugging Luz's leg as she stood.

"Yeah- unfortunately I do."

"HOOOOOOT", the house demon squawked.

The two turned to see Hootie being ripped off his hinges by a giant shadow creature with deep black eyes. They stood frozen in fear, hoping the monster didn't see them.

Amity yelped and covered her eyes, she wasn't one to play horror games. "The fuck is that?!", she exclaimed.

The creature didn't see them and rushed outside, climbing the side of the house, and crashing into the giant eye window. The human and the demon heard a screech.

King and Luz looked at one another and whisper-yelled, "Eda!".

Another new objective flashed across the screen, this time not in a yellow glow, but in a deep red glow. Amity didn't have a good feeling about that in the slightest.

King was now on the shoulder of Luz while she snuck upstairs holding a red bat. The house creaked here and there, which made Amity jump occasionally. The chat teased her a lot.

Once to the correct door, Luz peaked into it, seeing a giant shadow figure; the creature.

"Okay- King- I'm gonna distract the thing while you get in there and check on Eda once I lead it away okay?", Luz whispered.

"What? Luz no- I can't leave you on your own with that thing!", he replied.

"Well you gotta okay? We don't have any other choice. I have longer legs than you, so I can run faster."

"Fine- three- two-"

"One!", Luz kicked the door open.

"COME GET ME YA UGLY BASTARD!", Luz shouted. Yep. That got the monster's attention.

It roared. Amity had to control Luz through the halls while it chased her.

"OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK OH SHIT OH FUCK!", Amity yelled. Unfortunately her first go around, she was captured by the beast and it bit her head off. Amity screamed and covered her face. The scene faded to a black loading screen.

"Oh- my god- that was terrifying. THERES GORE IN THIS GAME?!", she said exasperated.

Someone sent a donation, Willow of course, "Hahaha, you nearly shit your pants. Good luck in this segment of the game it's fucking freaky!"

Amity glared at the camera, "Fuck you Willow".

She continued the game and managed to get away from the beast, hiding in the closet. King was found in there, with a terrorized look on his face. "Eda-?", Luz said weakly.

"That beast is Eda! She's cursed Luz- she didn't take the elixir she needed to keep it at bay!"

"Oh fuck- what do we do-?"

"Um- well she had black eyes. Demons that have those are sensitive to light so maybe if we figure out how to get a giant bright light we can get Eda back."

"Hm- okay-", then an idea popped into Luz's head.

She took her phone out, the screen cracked, but at this moment it hardly mattered. Luz pulled up the video she took of Eda doing the spell circle. A symbol randomly popped up, and it took Luz a few tries to get it down on a piece of random paper. She tapped it and a ball of light formed from the paper.

"Woah- okay- this could work but it's gotta be huge-"

"Draw it on the wall?"

"Bingo Buddy. Let's do this-"
