Chapter 1

"Holy crap. I am going to be late for my first day on the job." Layla started running through the lobby to catch the elevator. "Hold the door," she screamed at the people in the "elevator. She missed it. But another elevator opened right beside it. She entered it so quickly she couldn't see the sign saying that that was the CEO's elevator. She pressed the floor number and the doors closed so slowly. People passed through the elevator as if it was not there. "Why are they not going in the elevator?" she thought. "It's okay. I guess I have the elevator all to myself."
She rides the elevator for a few floors before it stops at a different floor. The elevator doors open and she sees the one and only, Mr.Hudson, her boss. Her face lights with shock and scare. "What are you doing in The CEO's elevator?" yelled his assistant. "The CEO's elevator? I didn't know that it was the CEO's elevator. I am so sorry." She started apologizing so much. After she finished apologizing to him, two of his guards tried to pull her out of the elevator. Right when one of them touched her arm, she flipped them upside down on their butt. The other one tried to attack her but she twisted his arm and they both started crying in pain. Before the other guard could touch her, the CEO stopped him.
"Stay in the elevator," he said suddenly. The guards, the assistant, and Layla were surprised. "Boss, are you sure about that decision?" the assistant said. The boss shook his head saying yes. While saying that, he entered the elevator and everyone else followed behind. The elevator door closed after they entered. She pressed the button on the floor. The boss himself pressed the same button as her. ing.* The elevator was finally on the floor. She left first and the boss went the same way as her. She started running to her office because she was late.
"Do you have a reason for being late today? Especially on your first day here." Her manager started yelling at her for being late. "Because she was with me." said a very deep voice behind them. It was the boss. Everyone was shocked at what the boss said. After like 5 minutes of complete silence, the boss said something to Layla. "You, come to my office in 30 minutes." He said while leaning forward to Layla. "And don't be late." He said in such a deep voice. After he said that, he turned around and started walking toward his office.
Layla was in shock for 5 minutes. Surprised that this was her first day and she was already getting called into the boss's office. She sat down at her desk which was next to her friend who recommended the job to her. "What was that about?' Layla's friend asked. "I have no clue what that was about but I think it might have to do with the fact that I beat down two of his guards to the ground in five minutes." Layla's friend is in shock. "You did what? How did you do that?" Layla's friend exclaimed that the whole office heard her.
"Hey, quiet down. Everyone in the office can hear you." Layla calmed down her friend while she was in shock. "I didn't mean for any of this to happen. Especially on my first day on the job." Layla started sulking because she didn't want anything to do with her boss. Layla's friend started comforting her because she knew that she couldn't go against his word or else she would get fired.

25 minutes later
She walked to the boss's office after getting lost 5 times. In front of the door were the two guards that she beat up in the elevator. She apologized before knocking on the door. "Come in." said a deep voice. She entered the room ready to face the consequences of what happened. "Come in. Have a seat." said the boss. She was so scared about what he was going to say or do to her. "What did you need me for sir?" Layla asked in a nervous but confident voice. "Now, now, there is no need for you to call me sir and be so formal. Please call me Zander."
She was so scared that she wasn't going to have the job anymore and that she was going to need to find a new job again. While she was in her thoughts, she heard something that was going to change her whole life. "I want you to become my maid." she was so confused about what he just said to her. "What do you mean by being your maid? Am I getting fired?"
"In a way, yes. But instead, you will be working personally for me at my house." Zander said. Layla started thinking about what might happen if she worked for him. Will her family still let her go on missions? "I don't think I can," Layla said with a very sad face. In her head she was happy she declined the offer. "Okay, you're still fired." Layla was shocked.
"What! How am I fired? I thought I would only get fired if I took the job." Layla said it in a very mad tone. She already lost her job and she just joined. "Because I don't want someone who would not take a good opportunity. I want you gone by the end of the day." Layla couldn't believe her ears. She stormed out of the room and went to her desk. "So, how did it go?" Layla's friend asked. "Horrible. I got fired already." Layla said in just an angry tone. "How did you get fired?"
"I don't know but all I know is that the only reason I lost the job was because I didn't accept some stupid job that was fake. He said that everyone that has their job here is because you all accepted the offer." Layla was so mad. "We all did accept the offer. It's the boss and we can't say no to him. That's what we all learn so we all said yes and kept our job."
"That rule is stupid," Layla said before starting to pack up her stuff and leaving. She got in her car and drove home."
