The following day, as what you would expect from Ringo-san's coterie- their heads may be up in the clouds 80% of the time, but they are the most responsible in class, next to the president, his second-in-command and yours truly- they have already written almost half of the part of the script, and the characters are already outlined.

Kouki-sensei didn't even bother to do some story checking. That's how reliable the three girls are.

Of course, sensei praised them for their diligence while the rest of us just stared at the delighted trio in awe, all of us wondering how they were able to do all that in one night.

They must be very into it. I thought- more like, we all thought, based on my classmates' faces.

"How are we going to pick the castings?" It was Setsu who spoke. Okay. That was very unlikely of him to be interested in something like this. He's more of a "sports person" than a literary work slash theatrics enthusiast.

"Hehehe," the classic literature club's president laughed in between her breaths. "Like this, of course!" Ringo-san snapped her fingers, her glasses glinting- dangerously, if I may say- then her two sidekicks went in front, flapping a large manila paper once before spreading and taping it on the board.

On top of said paper were boxes drawn using a black marker. Inside, were the supposed roles for the play written with red marker.

First Prince, Second Prince, Evil Warlock, Snow Princess... I read in my mind. What the heck!? This sounds like one of those teenage girl's romantic-fantasy novels which Kagami-nii likes to read!

Said boxes were connected, with irregular lines, on the empty ones down below the bottom part of the paper.

"Here," Ringo-san said as she tapped the board, with her palm, on the empty boxes' part. "You will write your names inside the free boxes and whoever has their box connected on the characters above will be the one to play that role. That way, the casting will be fair for all. All that's left is to accept whichever role each one of you will get. You were the one who picked it after all- however fortunate or unfortunate the end results may be," she continued with a knowing smirk. "About half of the boxes are connected to the committees. They will, of course, be in charge with the props, sets, costumes, make-up, and etc. Mikan, Tomo, and I, together with Kouki-sensei, will be the ones who will oversee the flow of practice, so the three of us won't be participating in the choosing of roles anymore."

Everything was already properly laid. I still can't believe that they're able to think this through in just one night. Girls and their capabilities are, surely, to be feared.

"Good work, you three. I didn't expect that you would be able to work this fast. I'm quite... astounded, I should say," Kouki-sensei said. That, pretty much, summarized all of our thoughts.

Ringo-san, Mikan-san, and Tomo-san just smiled at each other.

"Well then, everyone," With a single clap, Kouki-sensei gestured. "Let's begin picking out the casts!"

Starting from the front row, my classmates, one by one, picked from the empty boxes, effectively writing their names on it.

After a few minutes of chairs skidding against the floor and markers stroking against the thin paper, all boxes were now filled with names.
