NO ONE CAN SIT ILLEGALLY IN A VAN, ON A PRIVATE PROPERTY, WHILE WORRYING ABOUT YOUR FRIEND WITHOUT BEING DISTURBED!
Mac and Riley were hiding behind the hedge bordering the mansion, in the van they left Phoenix with. Since the communication had been cut off, Mac was worried himself sick. They didn't have any information since, and nothing seemed to be happening in the mansion. He feared that he would never see Jack again. He was about to decide to just burst in the house when loud bangs against the side of the van were heard. Mac shushed Riley and they kept quiet, hoping the person would eventually leave.
"I know you're in there! Get out!" a male voice said.
There was no reason to stay hidden, it was best to step out and fight. Mac swiped the car door open, throwing himself out as he landed a punch in the stranger's jaw. The latter cursed. However, what mac did not expect was for the guy to be stronger than him and to have a gun. The man quickly got the upper hand and took aim at him, preventing Riley to try anything at the same time. The man tied their wrists and ankles together and carried them into the van. He got in. He observed Riley's computer that was displaying a plan of the mansion with a color coding for the different exit and for the guards guarding them. He turned back to them.
"How do I get in?" he ordered more than he asked.
Riley and Mac eyed each other 'why he would ask that?'.
"Who are you?" Riley asked.
"I asked you a question!" he shouts.
"We are still figuring it out," Mac spilled out.
"Cut the crap, I know you're working with Scorpia."
" 'Cause you are not?" Riley asked intrigued.
"No!"
"We aren't either. We are here to save our friends" Mac finally said as he figured out the guy was sincere.
"Is one of them happens to be Alex Rider?"
"We can help you rescue him," Riley offered, "if you untie us, of course."
"Yes... Sorry, "he said as doing so, "name's Ben by the way."
