song of the chapter is right where you left me by taylor swift

gemma/3rd pov

the girl stood at the edge of the parking lot, bag of chips from the lunch room in her hand. she watched as her brothers and marty went through her car.

"you know this belongs to me!," leni said, holding a black portable charger in the back. it didn't belong to her, so leni could be telling the truth.

"it dose not, mom always gets you the white cords i get the black ones," montie said.

"no gemma got the white ones," leni said.

"gray!," i shouted from my spot on the sidewalk. knowing they cant hear me.

"can i take her cds?," marty asked.

"you dont even like her music taste," montie said.

"hey she got melanie martinez cds," he said.

"go for it dont touch the waterparks or fall out boy ones my mom wants them," montie said.

genma was enjoying the show and the boys haven't even found the joint yet. she couldn't believe the random things she collected in the car over the past year are now things people want.

"hey," she herd from behind. the girl did a 180 and saw wally standing right behind her.

"hey," she said, popping a chip into her mouth.

"what you up to?," he asked.

"watching my brothers and best friend clean out my car," she replied.

"anything good?," he asked.

"chargers and cds," she laughed.

he nodded "you had a nice car," he said.

"no i didn't," she laughed. "it was a shit box i used to drive my ex everywhere,".

"well it looks better then my families car," he laughed.

"that car is probably worth thousands maybe even millions now," she said, turing to look at back at the boys.

"yo she left a joint in the car," marty said.

the other 2 boys ran up to him.

i turn to wally. "you ready to watch 3 boys fight over something they wouldn't be touching if i was still alive?," she laughed.

"hey i found it," marty said.

"we're her brothers," leni said.

"who said im sharing it with you? im her favorite," montie said.

my brothers jumped up and down like animals trying to get it from marty,it was funny yet depressing to watch.

"they're dumb," wally said. "oh im sorry," he said quickly clarifying.

"nah its okay. they are stupid, dumb, idotic, so much more," i laugh.

he laughs too, as the boys continue their fight behind us. "what was it like?," he asked.

"like what?," i ask.

"growing up with siblings?," he said.

"i had 4. 2 older and then my 2 younger,i liked it i had montie and leni my whole childhood. we were instantly close. my older siblings are half siblings my older sister, shes the oldest out of all us. shes my moms kid and my older brother is my dads," i say.

he nods. "did you share a room?," he asked.

"no we had our own rooms. though i had to share a bathroom with leni and bryan, my older brother," i say laughing. "what about you did you have any siblings?," i ask.

"no i was an only child," he said. "didnt like it wish i had some of my parents attention off of me," wally said.

"i wish i had more," i laughed.

he gave me a resurring smile and we continued talking for what seems like hours. he did most of the talking. i like listening.

the school door opened and charley saw the two sitting on the edge of the sidewalk, talking and laughing. "hey there you guys are," he said.

"oh hi!," i say, waving to charley. "sorry about that," i say.

"no its all good. a meeting is just about to start," charley said, looking at both of them.

"you wanna attend?," wally asked.

"sure," i say, laughing nervously.

wally and i got up from the ground and followed charley inside the building and to the gymnasium.
----
"so remember you guys tomorrow is movie night," mr. martin said at the end of the meeting.

"im so tired of the same 5 sports movies," rhonda sighed crossing her arms and glaring at wally.

charley was tired of this argument with rhonda and wally. it was either this or the donuts. "how about me and gemma go see if we can find something,".

"that sounds like a great idea charley, i hope you will join us gemma," mr martin replied.

i nodded i didnt watch a lot of movies, but theres not much else to do here. i thought to myself.

"okay i think we will be closing up for today," mr. martin said, as everyone got up as soon as he said that.

gemma stayed. she doesn't know why, but it feels so weird leaving these chairs. she sighed as even mr. martin and charley left. she got up and dragged her self out of the gym. she was gonna go to the spot she set up to relax and sleep.

she layed down on the blanket a shitty couch pillow pallet she made. it was nothing like her bed at home, all her stuffed animals and pillows, she'll never have that again. she stared at the ceiling above her. she made sure the bed was at the very back of the library. gemma is always looking for a quiet place.

she sighed pulling her phone out of the back pocket in her phone. she pulled it out and her earbuds from her front pocket. she connected the wired earbuds, looking for something to listen to, keep her mind quiet.

'sophmore slump' by fall out boy, put the girl to sleep that night.
