The curse of Jennie's existence in this countryside might be the fact that Kim Taehyung is her neighbor. Even worse is the situation of seeing him nearly all the time during her day, because these two houses are built in such a way that they complement each other. Her kitchen faces his, and so do the balcony and her bedroom window, the huge French doors in the living room are also similar to his so she can see his living room across the meek stone wall too.
It's been three days since she came here and she has been seeing him a lot. In the morning when she prepares her breakfast, she sees him drinking his morning drink despite how it sours her mood. His nonchalant face in this whole situation doesn't help either.
But in these three days Jennie has also realized that getting continuously bothered by his presence is impractical and harmful to her goal, which is; to finish her novel. So by the evening of the third day, she conjures up all her inner annoyance-repelling strength and walks out of her safe place in the library which is one of the rare locations where she can't see him.
She has been here for half a week now and Jennie has been dying of boredom more than anything else, especially since she has zero to no motivation to finish her drafts. So to freshen her mind, she decides to visit the town square, and maybe talk with Jisoo for some time.
Her car isn't greatly effective on the poorly made road, so she decides to walk to the main road and hail a bus from there. Her white canvas tap against the gravel once she reaches the road, her sundress fluttering against the wind, along with her raven hair.
She is about to go towards the small bus stop when a wild cat jumps out from the bushes, scaring her in the process. Jennie yelps and steps back, but the cat continues to peer at her with his own wide eyes. And once her shock subdues, she sees a trail of crimson on his paw.
"You are hurt!" she says, to the feline who is suspiciously quiet in this whole process as she immediately crouches down to examine the bloodied paw. It's a shame that she doesn't have any extra cloth with her to clean the blood.
She is contemplation how to help the poor animal when she hears a screeching halt of tires behind her.
"So because I warned you about them, now you are out hunting poor wild animals?" Taehyung's voice being rare of its kind is immediately recognized by Jennie as she turns around to see him on his bicycle, wearing one of the perhaps many white loose fluttering shirts he has.
"You should stop thinking everything revolves around you." She rolls her eyes and turns back to the kitty, slightly patting the gravel road near her to urge the animal to come closer.
She thought he would leave eventually but Taehyung pulls down the stand of his bicycle to leave it by the edge of the empty road and walks closer.
"What can I say, I have always been the main character." He sighs dramatically as he also crouches down, right opposite Jennie, and tries to call the cat towards himself. It's like a competition that will win the trust of the feline.
