Karate Kid: My Shot Part 4
The building was..well first off it had an intimidating energy.
Something about it just radiated aggressiveness and fear.
It was tall, square, and well like any other dojo..but just the feeling in Alex's gut was..off. Whatever.
On the dojo it was branded Cobra Kai- Karate Dojo.
Alex skidded to a halt and parked his bike.
"This is the place.." Alex supposed as he decided to get a better look.
On the windows fliers lined the wall.
Advertisements for the dojo, some kind of tournament, and all sorts of other stuff.
Well there was no point on hanging around outside. This was a pivotal moment.
Alex felt like..karate could shape/change his life.
Once he could fight back against King Cobra..face them head on on equal footing.
Things would be perfect.
He entered. On the inside he was immediately met with a cut-out of..a man.
Not only that he could hear words coming from where training was being held in the main room.
"Fear does not exist in this dojo, does it?"
A loud and direct voice with a british accent could be heard.
"No sensei!"
The man in the cut-out was in fit shape, had a flashy look and had a bright charming smile, yet something about his smile seemed...off. He looked kingly with his blonde locks and firm posture.
"Pain does not exist in this dojo, does it?"
"No sensei!"
As he moved along the next thing that grabbed his attention was the line of trophies that occupied the wall.
"That's a lot of trophies.." Alex noted. "..a lot of winning."
"Defeat doesn't exist in this dojo, does it?"
"No sensei!"
He stopped as he saw a framed picture of the same man that had the cut-out of himself.
George William Frederick
He was definitely in some high government role.
Alex then heard a sound and it came from the main room.
There on the dojo mat was a large crowd of boys being taught by the man himself...in person he looked more lively and eccentric.
He looked regal and well..powerful.
Something about him just..demanded authority.
He heard a bit on the man's teaching
"On the field of battle. In the heat of the fight. Only one thing matters: winning. We do whatever it takes to win. Nothing stands in our way. Even, if it means someone gets hurt. That is the difference between becoming a winner..or a loser. Because fear does not exist. Pain does not exist. And defeat does NOT exist in this dojo," he concluded. "That is the way of the cobra."
—---
Alex moved in to get a better look. Karate.
What an interesting martial art. To think all he had to do was sign up and he'd be a part of the crew.
