Karate Kid: My Shot Part 3
It had been a few weeks of going to school.
By now Alex had gotten a routine.
He excelled in his classes.
He hung out with his pals: John, Hercules, and Lafayette. Only once in a while.
He tried to grab at any time he could get with Angelica. Unfortunately, she had a busy schedule, but whenever he could squeeze a conversation in. He did it. He would make it work.
Speaking of work, he also had a job. That was...that was what it was. work.
Of course the only bad part was when he clashed with Aaron. Every day there was something. Some conflict. Some quarrels.
It would always be some comment, some look, some altercation, and no matter how much the teachers tried to separate them or even if they actively tried avoiding each other they always seemingly crossed paths, and clashed.
Currently, Alex was at home. To gather his thoughts he was writing in his journal:
-So I like Angelica, we're having a lot of good moments together. The only thing is..I don't feel like we're official official. We feel more like flirty friends rather than an actual like...couple. The thing is I like her.
-I feel like she is holding back, maybe it's cause of her annoying Ex. Speaking of him, I can't stand him. Yea, we have kind of a fued..Angie doesn't like it, but what does she want me to do. He gets on my nerves.
-I found a job that hires teens my age. It's good so I can get money. It's hard though managing school and a job. But..it is how it is.
-As for the apartment..I need some maintenance. I need maintenance really badly.
-Hope things get better.
Would things get better? Only time will tell

Alex was in the school yard just doing some writing. He enjoyed writing. You'd think with how much he wrote his hand would get cramped, but Alex has learned to endure/ignore the pain...eventually he just became null to it.
"What are we writing?" John had slid beside him.
"Oh it's um.." Alex looked at the paper. He was so focused and lost in writing he forgot what he was writing about just for a moment. "..Sorry, it's um about. Heroes in literature. Just doing analysis."
"What for?" John asked, and Hercules and Lafayette had come to join the two.
"I don't know. I like writing about...things," Alex admitted. "Whatever comes to mind depending on the day."
"You're interesting new kid..very interesting.." Hercules just commented.
"That's for sure," Lafayette agreed. "By the way did you find a job?"
Alex had discussed with his friends the other day that he was trying to find a place to work.
"Oh yea, the library," Alex said. "They let me restock books, help with checkout, and even deliver newspapers."
"Nice," John smiled. "..so you're making that good money, huh?!"
"Um..you can say that, I'm getting there.." Alex chuckled. He didn't enjoy the job eating away at his free time, but he needed money somehow, someway.
"So about this writing about heroes right," Hercules then inquired. "What have you found? Lay it on us?"
"Oh no I'm..just doing this for self reflection," Alex admitted. "I get in my own head a lot-"
