My Thoughts after hearing the news, hearing the fear of mom's voice and just imagining Los Angeles Not being the City of Angels anymore ... really hurt me not just because Los Angeles is my new home after Moving from Vermont to the City but just ... everything being destroyed. from the coffee shops, the stores, the people and most importantly ... the memories I made here will be gone like dust. I was afraid to even drive and continue my day because I was just overthinking like hell and wondering what to do next. still sitting in my car in my driveway my phone rings again and it was Carla, I was so happy to hear her voice after all the thinking I was doing. she's the only person I know that would have no choice but make me snap out it. plus, she's the tough one in my group besides Dani ... Dani is more of the badass and Carla is the fighter within the badass. Carla used to be a mechanic with her dad, but she hasn't done that in a while since he passed away. she says if she ever tried doing it again it would probably send into a spiral of different emotions since they were close. a few months after her dad passed ... she signed up to do motorcycle stunts, she's been doing that for a year now and she's incredible. ' Hey Sol Sol , what time did you want to come over? you okay? " Carla said. hearing her say that made me cry because I was so scared to lose everything and what would happen next ... I didn't want to lose Carla, Amy or even my parents and just everything in general. I started to cry as I was on the phone with Carla, my body and everything told to just let go of my emotions until I can't feel them anymore. " Sol ... it's okay ... everything will be okay ... " Carla continued as she heard me crying. Hearing her say that almost made me feel better but I couldn't stop crying. It was so hard to tell myself to stop even when it was so hard to talk ... I just wanted to pinch myself and say " it was just a nightmare" but... this was real ... and it will soon be a nightmare that we won't forget. Still crying I finally stopped and wiped my face with my arm sleeves of my black sweatshirt and talked to Carla and told her everything I was feeling. she understood everything and said nothing will happen to her or Amy because they're strong just like I am. she promised that she will make sure to protect me and Amy no matter what and she'll always be by my side always. After she hung up, I told her I will be over around five or six to stay over. I checked the time so far and it was almost 11:30 so I just continued my day and forget about everything so far. I drove out of my driveway and went to grab some lunch at the store. Walking inside where you hear nothing but the sound of beeping from the registers, people talking, the carts the people grab and music playing. I grabbed the little baskets you carry and went to grab some sushi... something about their sushi brings out more memories from me and Amy being drunk and grabbing sushi at 10pm as for Carla ... she went to grab ice cream and her favorite frozen meal. I will never forget that night like no tomorrow. I was walking around the find my sushi and began to grab it to place it in my basket. Blocking out the noise with my air pods listening to my favorite singer holly Humberstone and shopping around in my favorite grocery store. I grabbed some snacks for me and the girls especially Carla's ice cream, Grabbed Amy's favorite dumplings and her ice cream bars. still shopping I was in the cereal aisle to grab some breakfast items in case anything happens, my favorite was placed at the top of the self to where I was unable to reach it. I remember looking around for a coworker but I couldn't find anyone which was very weird to me. still struggling to reach for the cereal box, a tall man with these colorful braids ... they were red and blonde, and he had green eyes but not too bright and was very nice for helping me. " don't worry, I'll help you " he grabs the cereal box for me with a smile that made me smile actually just because he honestly made my day better just by that I can't explain why but it did. " Thank you ... what's your name? " I said to him, and he began to chuckle and smile again, " name's Bruno, yours? " He replied to me. " Solane " I said as I put my hand out to shake and he Shaked my hand and smiled and said " you're welcome Solane , have a good day now. " He said as he walked away and waved goodbye. crazy to think that he was actually cute ... Carla would call me crazy for having a crush on him and as for Amy she would try and find a way for us to exchange numbers or tell him I Wanna have sex with him. I put my cereal box in my basket and walked away to go check out at the register. " Hello, how are you doing today? this all? " The cashier said. " Yes, thank you and I'm doing good today ma'am! " I replied and she smiled. she began checking me out and told my total for my things, as I was placing my card in the card reader, I heard a familiar voice and looked behind me and it was the guy Bruno I met. He was having trouble with his card and was trying to find another one to use and I wanted to help him Out. The lady passed me my bags of stuff and smiled and told me to have to have a good day and I replied " you too! " With a smile. I walked over to where Bruno was, but he didn't see me since he was looking for his card. " How much sir? " I said in a whisper. " 20.27" the cashier said to me. I grabbed my wallet and grabbed my card to pay for it for him but by the time Bruno found his card, he paused and looked speechless. he had a soft smile on his face almost giving me butterflies, " here's your receipt ma'am " the cashier said. " Thank you!" I replied and passed Bruno his receipt. " You didn't have to but thank you again Solane , you're very sweet for that. " He says with a smile. His smile was so beautiful ... it was like seeing a baby smile when you give them their favorite toy or when you give them sweets. he may look tough with all the tattoos he had from his face to his arm and hand, but he clearly has a soft side which brought a smile to my face. " Anytime, take care Bruno " I said as I walked away blushing and walking out the store to my car. walking out to my car with the sun and wind hitting my face ... I could feel him watching me, but I didn't give any attention to that. I put my groceries in my back seat and got in my car and drove off to my parents and head over to Carla's and Amy's. Before heading to their house, I stopped by my house to pack my duffle bag. It was practically almost four o'clock, As I was packing and Listening to some music .. Dani Texted me " hey darling! driving to the airport with Jacob! see Ya in a few Love! xoxox " I hearted her message and replied back " okay! drive safe kiddos! see ya! xoxo " and placed my phone down and continued packing as I was eating my sushi and drinking some boba I bought as well after leaving my Parents house in West Hollywood. still packing, listening to news and cleaning up with some music ... suddenly we had another update from what's been going on. ' Good evening, Los Angeles! This is Lisa Claire Back with breaking news this evening. Apparently, a Female reported another victim being attacked and even bitten in Santa Monica ... she said she heard screaming and as soon she went to find what happened the Victim was found unalive and Unresponsive. The Police Has Blocked off the Santa Monica pier to continue investigating the victim for a soon autopsy for the family to confirm. I'm Twenty-one minutes away from Santa Monica which means Los Angeles could get hit any minute or second. I immediately Called Amy since Carla was at her stunt event she had to attend too, " Hey Girl! what's up? " Amy Said. I told Amy the news and she Felt the same as me ... she didn't realize how close we are from Santa Monica and Knowing we could be next at any moment... " you think I should tell Carla the news ... She's been pretty stressed about it but not too much because she's Carla for crying out loud. " Amy says. But Amy sounded very distressed after that ... She's Been very upset recently from losing her leg still. she lost her in a car accident when she was younger from a drunk driver ... it was a pretty bad accident to say myself. she said something from the car was stuck in her leg and had no choice but to remove her leg or she could've died from blood loss. It's been hard for her since she does marathons and other athletic stuff to keep herself going so she was worried she would fail from what's happening because of her leg. Amy is a very passionate and strong woman and as her friend ... it hurts seeing her upset from anything especially her leg ... I can't imagine what she's going through but I reassured her and told her that she can do this, and she will win no matter what and not let her leg bring her down. " Thank You Sols ... I love you so much. I needed that actually ... I can't wait to see you. drive safe sols ... please. " Amy Said. I smiled and told her "Of course... I love you always Ams ... you know I'll drive safe. see you soon." I Hanged up and on the other hand, Amy contacted Carla and told her the news so Carla doesn't get stuck wherever she's at In Los Angeles and at that moment I knew ... This will eventually be a bumpy ride that won't be over anytime soon.
