You were looking up a tall man with violet eyes. He didn't seem too bothered by the cold and was smiling down at you. So of course you smiled back at him. Looking at him closer, you saw that he kind of looked like....James? "Hey! Miss?" you heard one of the children say. You blinked, only to see that the person had disappeared. The one of the boys was still shouting and smiling. You lifted your head a bit to see that it was only Alfred, the other two were trying to climb on Kuma's back. Kuma didn't seem to happy to have two kids climbing on him and ran while Matthew sat on his back, laughing. Alfred was still sitting on you. "What are we gonna do now?" he asked. You sat up and thought. There was a frozen pond somewhere in the park. With a smile you looked at the children. They all looked back at you curiously. "Do you guys know what ice skating is yet?"
After a trip back to the house, you and your children head to the frozen pond in the middle of the park. You only had skates for yourself, but that didn't matter, they would still go out on the ice. The stared at it in amazement. Alfred was already testing the ice, placing a foot on it. When it slipped out even father, he pulled it back. When your ice skates were on, you stood on the ice. This time, Allen stepped out of the ice. He was upright for all of five seconds before he fell. James couldn't help but laugh at his brother. "Are you alright?" Matthew asked in his soft voice. It trembled as he did, probably because of how Allen was looking at his brother. Who knew a kid could make such a scary face? You begin to glide across the ice, slowly at first, then speeding up as you got your rhythm. James looked up and saw you, smiling and watching. Looked like he actually liked the idea of ice skating. Of course you returned the smile when you saw him. Then you wished that you had a smaller pair of ice skates for him. Then you could teach him. At that, you laughed. You teaching Canada how to ice skate. Your laughter almost made you fall. His happiness turned to confusion. "Watcha laughing about?" He called out. You shook your head."Nothing, James. Nothing at all...." You continued skating in circles. James was the one who taught you how to skate. Alfred stepped out onto the ice again, then was pulled down by Allen, who was still sitting on the frozen water. When they started shouting you came over to them. They were getting rowdy again. Time to go back home and warm up. But you couldn't get your mind off of what you saw earlier. What had made you remember something like that? You wonder....
