You were finally outside, at 6 in the morning. No kind of wind could stop you. Well, probably the checkpoints, hopefully they won't be a problem. Before you can leave Inazuma City, you have to show your ID to Andou, an Inazuman guard.

"Hold it there! Please cooperate with the security check."

With a roll of eyes, you take out your ID from your pocket and hand it to the inspector.

"Y/N L/N, born in Inazuma, 20 years old, and you look like your picture. Alright, you may proceed."

And like that, you finished the first inspection. Two more to go. Before you can enter Ritou, you have to pass another inspection, for any contraband for some reason, and you also have to show documentation and sign papers before leaving the island. It's a headache, but what can you do? It was more difficult before, during the Sakoku Decree, making every single checkpoint almost impossible to pass, and even harder to get permission to leave the island. It's all in the not-so-far past. You were finally able to leave the island, and legally!

You pass the Byakko Plain and Konda Village in less than two hours. You only have two more hours before the ship arrives. You have decided to sail to Liyue instead of directly going to Sumeru because it was too expensive to sail for a week longer. It was going to cost you the same amount as your one-year tuition and that wasn't going to happen. It was only going to cost you 2,000 Mora for Liyue. Yeah, you were going to travel with 50 other people, but at least it was cheap, to travel by water.

Once you arrive at Ritou, you are stopped by another Inazuman guard.

"Miss, may I see your ID?"

Without hesitation, you pulled out your ID and handed it to him.

He looked at it for a while, then gave it back to you. "Now I need to inspect your suitcase Ms. L/N."

You gave him your suitcase and watched as he inspected it. After a minute or two, he zipped your suitcase and gave it back to you.

"Have a nice stay"

You thanked him and entered Ritou. You have never been to this part of Inazuma. It was already hard to leave Inazuma City, it was extremely hard to enter Ritou.

You asked around where the dock was located until you found the entrance to the port. You entered, and then you were escorted by a guard to a small tent. A lady was waiting there, reading files, until she noticed the guard.

"Good morning, this is the identification checkpoint under the jurisdiction of the Outlander Affairs Agency. Are you here to leave, get a permit, or get an identification?"

"I'm leaving", you responded.

"Very well, I will need your ID, birth certificate, any licenses or permits you may have, residency, and permission from a higher-up for any business."

You gave her everything, including the letter you got from the Akademiya, in case you needed a reason to leave.

She looked at each document carefully, with a stern look. After a while, which felt like an eternity, she looked up and gave back your documents.

"Alright, now what I need you to do is sign some papers and we're done."

She got a few papers out of some folders and gave them to you. It wasn't a huge stack, but there were many. About 20 papers. You were always told by your parents to always read each document carefully because there could always be one where you can't ever agree. That's how your grandparents lost 10 acres of land to the Shogunate.

You spent a whole hour reading and signing until you were finally done. There were 7 different documents, with three pages full of reading.

"Alright Ms. Y/N, here is your pass. You are now allowed to leave and enter Inazuma without trouble. Have a nice trip, congratulations, and good luck!" she smiled at you, then went back to reading her files.

'What a nice lady' you thought, while going to the end of the port, to wait for the ship. You were 15 minutes early, so it probably shouldn't take long. And just like that, you saw a huge ship in the distance. It was the famous Alcor.
