You stared at the scenery, surprised by what you were seeing. It was the same indigo-haired guy from before! You could easily recognize his hat from anywhere. Were your eyes playing tricks on you? What was going on? Out of pure curiosity, you started to make your way towards him.
"Uhh, hello? Hat Guy?"
Instead of turning towards you, he starts to walk away, towards a blue door. Was he leaving? Where exactly?
You slowly and discreetly started to follow him, still keeping some distance, to make sure he didn't see you. You don't want to be seen as a creep, right? Why are you even following him? You were taken out of your thoughts when the blue door closed, losing him from sight.
You were stuck in between wanting to find out what The Wanderer was up to and the registration into the Akademiya. Your curiosity was never easy to quench, so you decide to follow The Wanderer to who-knows-where.
With your things in hand, you make your way towards the blue door and open it, revealing a trail that goes upwards, higher up into the tree. You easily notice a tint of blue in the distance that immediately disappears, so you start to walk upwards, hoping to see the same blue tint once more.
Where exactly is The Wanderer going? Why was he at the Akademiya? You were getting more questions than answers, making your head hurt, but kept carrying on.
After a while of walking up the trail and the stairs, you had lost track of The Wanderer, your legs were extremely tired, and the suitcase wasn't making it any better. You take a few more steps and finally arrive at the very top. What you see in front of you is an elegant building in the shape of a leaf, with two large doors that seem very welcoming.
You take a step towards the building when you suddenly hear a very familiar voice from behind you.
"How do you have the audacity to follow me without my knowledge?... Well, I wasn't expecting much from a simple mortal such as yourself."
You turn around immediately, coming face to face with The Wanderer. You felt very embarrassed from being caught red-handed, but your curiosity got the better of you... Wait, did he just say 'mortal'? That's a weird way of describing a person, but who are you to judge?
"Uhh, hello again?" You awkwardly laugh, looking at The Wanderer.
The Wanderer scanned you for a moment, before finally responding, "I don't have time for mortals like you, so leave now before I-"
Before he could even continue, a squeaky and tiny voice that seemed to come from a child is heard, "Hat Guy, be more kind to our guest. She comes from afar, so show a bit more respect. We don't want her to run away, do we?"
A small child comes walking towards the two of you, with a small smile on her face. She was a cute child with big, round, emerald eyes, and pearly white hair.
She stands beside The Wanderer, and with a smile on her face, she greets you, "Nice to meet you! My name's Nahida. I apologize for the way the Hat Guy has behaved."
The Wanderer rolls his eyes and crosses his arms, signaling his annoyance. You chuckle a bit from that simple reaction, causing him to gift you an annoyed glare.
Nahida notices the small exchange between the two of you, "So it seems you both know each other already. May I know your name?"
"My name is Y/N, nice to meet you Nahida." You respond, with a sweet smile on your face.
"A pleasure to meet you Y/N. Again, I apologize for Hat Guy's behavior, he's usually like that." Nahida looks over at The Wanderer for a moment before looking back at you. "You don't seem from around here. Are you here as a visitor or are you planning on staying?"
... Staying?
You had never thought about it before. You were just there for the Akademiya and that's all. You're supposed to stay in Sumeru temporarily and go back to Inazuma once finished...

You shake your head in response to Nahida's question, "No, I'm only here to study in the Akademiya, I'm going back to Inazuma right after."
Nahida's smile went widen from... excitement? Looked between The Wanderer and you, her expression speaking louder than words could say. The Wanderer notices her gesture and immediately glares at her while shaking his head.
Before he could interrupt, Nahida makes the most unbelievable suggestion.
"Well, since you'll be in Sumeru for a while, may I ask for a favor...?"
"... May you accompany Hat Guy for the next few months?"
