The next day, you get up and get ready to go back to the dojo for more training.

You and Miguel walked to the dojo together, when you got there only half of the people from yesterday were there. Demetri wasnt. "Okay everybody. Fall in" sensei said, walking out of his office. "where is everyone? Crater face. Nose ring. Slingshot" He said "They quit. Sensei" Miguel said quietly "Are you serious? I mean. Good. That was a test. I wanted to see who the quitters are. Not you guys. Your in it to win it, right. You could be at home, playing your iComputers, playing your video games, eating candy. Instead, you're here. Doing push-ups, learning how to fight. Lip. Look. Even lip's tougher than those guys. He's not quitter." Sensei said pointing to Eli. "Could you please not call me that?" Eli said quietly" "Excuse me, what?" Sensei said "Could you please not call me that." Eli repeated himself "um, I'll warm them up sensei" Miguel said "No, lip has something he wants to say. Sorry, speak up lip. Or is your tongue messed up too? Are you one of those challenged kids?" Sensei asked. I felt bad for Eli and me and Miguel looked at each other, then looking back to Eli. "Um, the doctor said I could be on the spectrum" Eli said " I don't know what that is, but get off it pronto. All right? And if you don't want me to call you 'lip', don't have a weird lip, can't you get surgery for that?" Sensei asked "I was born with a cleft lip, this is the scar from the surgery." Eli said "You mean it was worse before that? Or did the doctor just screw it up? Because if this is the after photo, that sucks, man. You should sue." Sensei said pointing at him "can we just please change the topic?" Eli asked "You don't think I want to? It's tough when it's right in front of me. If you wanna be something other than a nerd with a scar on his lip, you gotta flip the script. Ok. Get a face tattoo or gouge your eye out. We'll call you 'patch,' all right? No, don't do that one. You'll still look like a freak." Sensei said Eli looked down then walked out of the dojo. I looked at Miguel, then went to follow Eli, but Miguel grabbed my arm and shook his head "give him some time" he said and I nodded.
At the end of training, Miguel told me to wait for him by the door, while he goes to talk to Sensei. Miguel came out of Sensei's office and said "okay let's go." You both left the dojo and walked home, talking about the lesson.
When you got home, you did your usual night routine then got into the same pyjamas as yesterday. You went downstairs to say night to your family "night mama, night yaya" you said then you went to say night to Miguel. After that you went to bed and fell straight to sleep.
