SUNLIGHT SPILLED into the cracks between the blinds, perfectly landing on Linnie's eyes. Dahan-dahan siyang nagmulat. As much as she wanted to stay in bed, she couldn't. May naka-schedule kasi siyang pitch meeting.
Nilingon niya ang katabing si Teo. She felt him tighten his hug around her waist. Naramdaman na yata nitong gising na siya.
Ever since they got together, being with Teo was like that. Delightfully chaotic and comfortable. Napangiti si Linnie nang sumiksik ito sa kanya. Sayang lang talaga at kailangan niyang magtrabaho.
Amused at the thought, she removed Teo's arm around her waist. She was careful not to wake him up. Kung minsan kasi, nakapikit na itong umuungot bilang protesta. Lalo rin nitong hihigpitan ang yakap sa kanya kahit alam nitong may pasok siya.
"Babe, I have to shower," natatawa niyang bulong sa fiancé. "If I don't shower in 15 minutes, baka ma-late ako."
"Okay," Teo mumbled, eyes still closed. "Goodluck sa meeting."
Linnie couldn't help but feel amazed. Pikit pa kasi ang mga mata ni Teo pero gising na ang diwa nito para maalalang may meeting siya. "Thanks. By the way, what time are you leaving?"
"Hmm. . . ten pa po pero 2 PM pa 'yong naka-schedule. I need to be at the shop by then."
"It's amazing how you still haven't opened your eyes but you remember all of those."
"Babe, 'pag dumilat kasi ako, wala na. Gising na ako."
She chuckled. "Well, of course. You'd be sleeping if your eyes are closed. Kapag binuksan mo, 'gising' naman na talaga tawag, right?"
With that, Teo's eyes fluttered open, his lips in a smirk. "Joke ba 'yon?" nakatawa nitong tanong. Inabot nito ang kamay niya. Linnie quickly stood up and stayed away from him. "Aw. Marunong na palang mag-joke baby ko?"
"I was being sarcastic." Linnie grimaced. "You don't even make sense. Matulog ka pa kaya?"
"Wala na. Gising na 'ko, Babe." Itinuro at pinalaki pa nito ang mga mata. "Bago ko pala makalimutan, wala ka pa yatang pang-exchange gift para sa inuman later."
"I bought everyone gifts."
"Hala. Akala ko, Monito-Monita?"
"Yeah, but I wanted to give everyone something they like."
Linnie went on with her day. Before finally leaving, she gave Teo a peck on the lips. Sinarado rin niya nang maayos ang blinds.
'Di naman na kasi nito kailangan pang sabihin na nangungulila ito sa tulog.
He got home late the night before. May influencer kasing nagpa-tattoo at pierce sa TEE. The same influencer shared their experience through a TikTok video. Bukod sa maganda naman ang service at 'yong mismong video, kasama rin kasi sina Eli, Charlie, at Enzo.
