After reaching your house, you locked the door behind you. You took a deep breath to calm yourself down before taking off your wet swimsuit.
You looked with a frown at the bite mark before getting dressed, wrapping the wound and putting a patch on it. You checked one more time if you were bleeding before going to the kitchen.
After looking at your fridge with frustration for a moment, you decided to make tea. You were trying to relax when your phone buzzed. You opened the message and smiled, at least you had some good news in this bad-ish day.
It was your friend, and coworker, Marcus, who had just messaged you.
You unlocked your phone, clicking on the message to read it. It seemed like tomorrow's night there would be a party dedicated to all the hard work and progress your organization had made in cleaning the ocean.
You smiled softly while reading the message, then turning off your phone and getting ready to go walking for a bit.
The next morning you got out of your room and smiled when you saw the sunlight coming in throu your window. After a quick breakfast of scrambled eggs, you got ready to go out, putting on a sundress and straw hat.
You walked to the supermarket, as it was either that or going on bike. Yours was a small city after all.
You then reached the supermarket and started your shopping, firstly grabbing food and drinks and then stopping at the clothing aisle. You spent many hours in there, trying to find something that was your size and fitted your aesthetic the best.
You almost was about to give up when you finally saw it, an elegant dress of pomegranate red, exactly your size.
You flipped the tag to check the price and winced, it was a bit higher than your monthly allowance for non-vitals things. But, you deserved something nice after all the sweat and tears, you could allow yourself just, this once, to buy something like this.
You carefully placed the dress in the shopping cart and made a run to the cashiers.
You had some small talk with them and was on your way back home when you got another message on your phone. It was your work group chat, your boss had messaged to remember that at two there will be the gathering at Starshore beach for the scuba dive mission.
You raised your eyes and read that it was one thirty.
Immediately you bolted home, all while trying to not drop your bags and phone.
You get back home in record time. You enter it and immediately start to prepare, changing your clothes with a pair of shorts, a shirt and a wetsuit, then putting the stuff for the scuba dive in your bag. You grab a sandwich from your fridge, holding it in your mouth as you felt like you no more time and then threw yourself on your bike, starting to bike to Starshore beach.
