" hold her Steve!" Robin yelled through gritted teeth as the scooby gang all tried desperately to stop me from jumping into the lake. It was a dark and cold out but i didn't give a shit, i had to go and see, i wanted to see if there even was a slight chance that Eddie was still in the upside down, or at least his body...his clothes...ANYTHING, i just needed to know

" im TRYING damnit she's stronger than i thought " steve yelled back at robin as Dustin and the others yelled from across the lake. I was half way over the boat with one leg hanging over the side as i repeatedly punched Steve's arm

" let me GO!" i cried out " y/n pleaseee don't do this, it's dangerous you don't know what's down there !" He screamed

" the bats all died ! and you guys defeated vecna there's nothing else down there except maybe my dead lovers body!" I cried out " i HAVE to know PLEASE!"

I fought with all my might while robin and Steve held onto me for dear life. Finally after what felt like forever i grew tired and stopped struggling. I sighed leaning against the boat and sobbed " fine you guys win " i said " i won't go " . I looked up at Steve through tear stained eyes as he sighed with relief, stumbling down besides me. " thank god " he said as robin let go of my arm. We sat there for a minute starring out at the water as flashbacks of the last time i saw Eddie came running back through my mind.

" i know how much you miss him y/n" Steve said as he placed his hand on my shoulder. I shrugged him off and frowned, turning to look at him " do you now? i mean do you REALLY?" I questioned him with anger present in my tone " because i don't think you do, NONE of you do...except Dustin..."

Steve and robin both looked at each other with saddened expressions " if it was Nancy you'd be doing the same thing Harrington so cut the shit and leave me alone, your ass would jump right into this lake without any hesitation am I wrong?"

I looked at Steve with an eyebrow raised as he looked away, staying completely silent " that's what i thought " i said before standing up quickly. He and robin both exchanged wide eyed expressions as soon as they realized what i was about to do. I dove into the lake and swam until i reached the other side....

the upside down

The sky was red and cloudy as lightning bolts struck with force, causing me to flinch. I pushed my damp hair out of my face and continued to take in the scene around me. This was like something out of a bad dream. As i began to walk around i couldn't help think about my baby Eddie, this is a scary and dark place to die but he didn't run, he was brave. I kept on walking, nowhere in particular i just wanted to walk. I kept looking up at the sky to make sure those winged little bastards weren't around, but there were no bats in sight.

I heard a sound come from behind me as i bent down to tie my shoes. I slowly turned my head, looking back to see that nothing was there. " hello?" I called out as i turned in the direction of the sound. I shrugged turning back around and gasped. Not too far in front of me was eddies trailer. It looked haunted, nothing like it did in the normal world. Vines were hanging off it and other weird shit. I couldn't bare to bring myself to go inside. Instead i kept walking past it, looking back occasionally to make sure nothing or no one was following me.

I stopped walking again when i heard another noise come from behind me. I looked back quickly and then started to speed up my pace That's when i heard the all too familiar sound..

BATS....

A huge swarm of them were coming right after me. I took off running as fast as i could but they were quick. I couldn't outrun them all. I stopped running to catch my breath and kneeled down, placing my hands over my head as they swarmed right in front of me. I looked up slowly as they began to separate, revealing a dark figure standing just a few feet away. My eyes tried to adjust as the silhouette became more clearer.

The hellfire tshirt was the first thing i noticed, and then the hair, the bandana....his rings....and then...those eyes...only they weren't their usual beautiful brown, they were..." holy shit " i mumbled out as tears formed in my eyes. His smirk grew into a wide smile revealing fangs. I gasped, standing to my feet slowly and backing away. Two bats came flying at me, both taking hold of each my arms. I screamed as they held me down, getting ready to bite.

" HEY!" he yelled at the bats as they stopped and turned their heads in his direction " let her go " he commanded. They took off flying bringing the swarm with them. I looked up, watching as they all flew away.

" y/n?"

I looked at him as tears ran down my face. I didn't know whether to approach him or run. He looked like my Eddie but very different. " Eddie?" I cried as he nodded " it's okay...it's me sweetheart, i promise " . The moment he said that i took off running right into his arms. The tears just wouldn't stop, I've never cried this much in my life. My legs grew weak as i slid down to the ground with Eddie holding me in his arms " i knew it, i knew you were here " i sobbed as he wiped my tears " i missed you so much " i said, looking up into his eyes " i missed you more babe" he sighed, closing his eyes " y- your a vampire aren't you...those bats did this to you"

He looked at me and nodded as i studied his new features. " there's so much i want to tell you and ask you " i sighed as he held me tighter to him " i know y/n...but right now is not a good time....he'll be back shortly and if he finds you here....ill never forgive myself if something happens to you"

" you mean vecna?" My eyes widened as he nodded his head and looked around. I could hear the bats off in the distance. " listen to me, go to my trailer and wait for me there, whatever you do don't come out okay? " i shook my head yes as he placed his hand against my cheek " i can't believe your here " he smiled, revealing his fangs " you never gave up on me ". We stood up, our fingers intertwined. " and i never will"
