Jake:
You were slowly waking up, stretching and yawning, when your boyfriend of 2 and a half years Jake walked inside. He was carrying a tray laden with pancakes, bacon, Nutella and tea.
"Happy Valentine's Day babe," he said, smiling at you.
"You made this all yourself?" you asked in astonishment.
"Yes I did," he said, sounding proud. He lay down on your bed next to you as you ate your breakfast. Once you were finished, you asked, "Aren't you going to be late for work?"
"The other boys and I have the day off today," he said, grinning even wider at you. Even though you had been dating for so long, you still got butterflies in your stomach every time he smiled at you.
"So what are we going to do today?" you asked.
"Since you love ice skating so much, I thought we could go ice skating and just have an awesome day out and we'll have a lovely dinner at home," he replied, kissing you softly.
"YAAAAY!" you squealed. Even though you weren't too good at it, you loved ice skating a lot. It had also been one of your very first dates with Jake.
You got up and got prepared for your big day out with him. You showered, got dressed and got in the car.
You and Jake got your skates and quickly put them on.
"Even though I love ice skating, I still can't do it very well!" you said as you clomped towards the rink in the skates.
"Don't worry, I'll catch you if you fall," Jake replied, looking deep into your eyes and kissing your cheek, making you blush. He grabbed your hand as you stepped on to the ice.
You skated around for a while, holding on to Jake's hand and the railing. Once you had been on for about half an hour, you became braver and let go of the railing. As soon as you did that, you slipped but thankfully, like he promised, Jake caught you.
"See? I told you that I'd catch you," he said, winking. You blushed and quickly steadied yourself and started skating around again.
You and Jake skated around for an hour longer, often falling but Jake always caught you.
After skating for around 2 hours, you got off the ice and gave your boots back.
"Happy Valentine's Day to you two, you are a lovely couple!" the woman said, beaming at you.
"Thank you ma'am, she is pretty special to me," Jake replied, looking lovingly at you.
"How long have you two been married?" she asked politely.
"We're not married, we've been dating for 2 and a half years," you said, smiling.
"Oh, my bad!" she apologized.
"Well, maybe that will change soon," Jake said, grinning at you.
"Have a lovely rest of your day!" she said, waving as you walked away.
"She seemed quite nice, didn't she?" you said to Jake as you were driving.
"Yeah, very nice," Jake responded. You stopped 10 minutes later, arriving at your destination for lunch, which was a cute little cafe where you had met Jake almost 3 years ago. You had become friends with all the boys when you met them all there and Jake asked you out a few months later.
You walked in and saw all the boys sitting at a large table with their girlfriends.
"Hi guys!" they all called out as you walked over to them.
"Hey! I didn't know you guys were going to be here!" you said in surprise.
"Apparently, it was a surprise for us girls," James' girlfriend Amanda said to you. You sat down next to her with Jake sitting next to you.
You all had a very enjoyable lunch, talking to everyone about what they had been doing that morning. You told everyone the story about how the ice rink lady thought you and Jake were married.
"Well, I don't blame her, you look so much like a married couple!" Tom's girlfriend Charlotte said, grinning at you guys.
"We do?" you asked curiously.
"Yeah totally!" Casey said.
"You gotta get a move on mate!" Reece said, winking at Jake.
After that weird conversation, you all finished eating and paid your bill. You got up and hugged everyone goodbye.
"That was a rather strange conversation we had in there, wasn't it Jake?" you asked him as you drove back to your shared apartment. He had been acting a bit weirdly all day.
"Are you okay babe?" you asked him concernedly.
"I'm alright love, are you?" he asked, smiling. You relaxed a little and decided to let it go.
*skip to the evening, around 7pm*
You and Jake had been cuddling on the couch in your lounge for the past few hours, watching cheesy romantic comedies and eating junk food.
You had been watching Lady and the Tramp as Jake walked in, carrying a huge plate of spaghetti and meatballs.
"Oh my god Jake!" you gasped, covering your mouth with your hands in shock.
"I take that to mean that you like it," he said, chuckling, "I just know that Lady and the Tramp is one of your favourite movies and you said on our first date that you always wanted to do the spaghetti scene with your boyfriend and I decided that we should finally do it."
"You remember that?" you asked quietly, tears welling up in your eyes.
"Of course I do, how could I possibly forget?" he said sweetly. You picked up a fork and tucked into the food.
"Oh my word this is so gooooooooooood!" you groaned, your mouth full of food.
"Glad to see you like it love," Jake said, laughing. Once you had eaten most of the plate of food, there was, of course, one meatball left, along with a single piece of spaghetti.
"You have it darling," Jake said, winking. Giggling, you picked it up and ate it.
Jake picked up the one side of the piece of spaghetti in his mouth, looking at you. Blushing, you grabbed the other end with your mouth and slowly started eating it until you two met in the middle and kissed. After a few minutes of making out, Jake said, "I'll be right back darling."
"Okay," you replied, kissing him once more as he walked up the stairs. You continued watching the movie and you got totally lost in it. It was only a few minutes after Jake had reappeared that you noticed him.
He was kneeling down on one knee, a small black box in his hands.
"Oh my god," you whispered, tears filling your eyes again.
"Y/N," Jake began, "You have made the past 3 years of my life so special, even when we weren't dating. I love absolutely everything about you. I know we can have our fights but we come out the other side, even stronger and more in love than before. So, would you please become my wife and marry me?"
"YES!" you shouted, throwing your hands up in the air with tears streaming down your face like Niagara Falls. Jake laughed and slid the beautiful diamond ring on your finger.
"I love you so much," you said, kissing him.
"I love you too Mrs Sims," he said against your lips, smiling.
