Two hooded figures ran away from a facility, they ran and ran and ran until they could no more.
They had just escaped the facility that experimented on their kind, the two were exhausted but they still kept their masks on to not be noticed by anyone.
They ended up in a small city, they hid in a small alleyway to not attract much attention.

:Do you think we made it out?

:I hope so, we seem to be pretty far away from that place. We're safe for now but we'll have to find coverage.

:Can't we ask for help?

:It would be impossible, we would just get caught and brought back to the facility.

:But what if we can actually find someone that is willing to help us!

:Gabby please.

Gabby:Tom i'm serious, we can't just run away forever, we will still get caught anyway!

Tom took in what Gabby said, she was right at any point they could get caught even if they didn't ask for help.

Tom:I guess you're right, i'm sorry Gabby.

Gabby:It's okay, but seriously maybe we could just look around and maybe..

Gabby stopped speaking and looked above, Tom turned around and saw a huge poster, "The Circus of Horrors, coming to the grand city on #####"
A circus of horrors? Gabby stood up and walked closer to the poster, she turned back to Tom excitedly.

Gabby:Tom this is exactly what we needed, we could join a circus!

Tom:But don't you you think they'll immediately bring us back to the facility?

Gabby:It says circus of horrors, maybe with a bit of disguise they'll take us in!

Tom thought about it for a bit, it did sound like the only option they had right now, but was it the best one too? Though it didn't sit right with him Tom decided to go with it, Gabby seemed to be very eager about visiting a circus for the first time, let alone join it. So was Tom a little bit.

They finally arrived at the circus, they were greeted by a lady with a red wig, dressed up as an angel and holding a megaphone, greeting all the guests.

:Welcome at the amazing circus of horrors, we wish you all have a great time around here!

Gabby grabbed Tom's arm and pulled him through the crowd, they found themselves surrounded by lights, balloons, sweets, tents of various colors and many, many people.
While Tom was overwhelmed by this whole new experience, Gabby was ecstatic, she looked around mesmerized by the amounts of lights and colorful tents all around her along with the people, then she noticed in the distance a girl, a redhead dressed in a koi fish costume, the girl looked at her with her teal eyes before running away through the crowd, Gabby didn't know what kind of spell the girl had inflicted on her that caused her to chase after her, as much as Gabby didn't want to leave Tom she really wanted to talk to the girl.
Meanwhile for Tom it took him a bit to snap out of his trance before he realized that he had lost Gabby, she was really nowhere to be seen with all the people in all places, he began to panic and went looking for her everywhere, yet he suddenly found himself near a group of children and adults surrounding something, Tom began to feel curious and walked over to the crowd to take a closer look of what could possibly be so intriguing, suddenly he saw a boy in the middle.
The boy had dark blue hair and was covered with cloth, he was dancing to a tune being played by the harp as the cloth he wore was flowing around majestically, there were some kids surrounding him, dancing along with him.
Tom had to admit how mesmerized he was by the mummy boy, how gorgeous he looked as his hair moved when he danced to the melody, he didn't even realize when he got pushed to the front.
The boy had noticed Tom and it caught his attention how the man was staring almost fondly at his every move, it was quite flattering to say the least in his opinion.
He walked closer to Tom and stood in front of him.

:Well i've noticed how much you've been staring at me.

Tom realized what the boy had said and began to panic, thinking he made him uncomfortable as his first talk with him, he waved his hands frantically in embarrassment to try and deny the subject, yet the mummy boy just chuckled lightly, which caught Tom off guard "his laugh is so captivating.." he thought.

:Oh don't you worry about it, so many people like staring at me so i'm not uncomfortable, you're not the first case.

Tom:I'm sorry if it bothered you, me staring at you with such admiration and awe.. You looked very pretty dancing like that.. I mean!

Tom struggled with his words, he had rarely ever interacted with someone else other than Gabby and the doctors/scientists, it was obvious that he struggled to strike a conversation, especially with a man he just met and admired.

:Staring with admiration huh? well now you're just making me flattered!

The boy removed half of the cloth on his face, revealing his black eye while he gently grabbed a hold of Tom's chin and made him to look into his eye, Tom felt his face warm up at the sight of the boy before him, the feeling of the boy's soft cold fingers on his chin felt like heaven somehow.

:I really appreciate it..

Tom really wanted to know the boy's name, but just as he was about to ask him, the voice of a man interrupted him.

"please enter the purple and teal colored tent to attend the most horrific show you have ever laid your eyes upon!"

:Oh dear, i guess it's time for me to go.. It was a pleasure speaking to you mysterious masked man, i am looking forward to meeting you once more someday.

The boy stepped back before he grabbed a piece of cloth from his body.

Tom:Wait i..

.
And with that, the mummy boy stripped off his cloth as he disappeared in mid air, sand replacing him.
Tom stared shocked, before he murmured the last words he wanted to say to him.

"i never got your name.."
