Blinded by the sun, Sora stirred from her sleep, kissed by its rays streaming through her bedroom window. Feeling unusually rested, she smiled and reached out to touch her pillow. Confusion set in as she realized it was firm yet soft.
Opening her eyes, she discovered it wasn't a pillow but a chest. Her eyes widened as she attempted to recall the events of the previous night, but the details eluded her, leaving a mysterious gap in her memory.
Trapped in Jay's fierce hold, Sora attempted various methods to wake him, resorting even to tickling his ear with her hair. Unbeknownst to her, Jay, being a heavy sleeper, remained unresponsive. Frustrated, she raised her head and headfisted him.
Startled, Jay woke up in pain, holding his forehead. "Are you crazy?" he exclaimed.
Threatening him with a pillow, Sora demanded, "What did you do to me?"
Chuckling, Jay mocked her, saying, "And why would I do anything to you?" Pissed off, she got up, grabbing him by the collar, attempting to look scary, though he found her cute with messy hair and plumped lips.
"Tell me what happened yesterday, one by one," she insisted.
Already down bad for her, Jay told her every detail, emphasizing, "It was just a kiss. Why are you overreacting?"
Indignant, Sora retorted, "Just a kiss? It was my first kiss!"
Jay, wanting to reassure her, admitted, "It was my first one too." Instead of easing the tension, she burst into laughter.
"Now, can you actually get up?" he asked, unknowingly sora left Jay in a state of discomfort.
"Ew, Jay," she exclaimed, oblivious to the unintentional predicament she was causing.
As Sora went into the bathroom, little did she know that Jay was quietly following behind. While she focused on brushing her hair, he seized the moment to envelop her in a warm embrace from behind. He whispered sweet words into her ear, and gentle kisses found their way to her neck.
Feeling his presence, she turned around, and Jay, expecting a reciprocal affectionate gesture, prepared for a kiss.
However, to his surprise, instead of meeting her lips, he found his face unceremoniously shoved out of the way.
Having finished preparing breakfast, Sora found Jay in her kitchen. "I will not be eating," he declared.
"Who said I even counted you?" she retorted.
"Then I'm eating," Jay decided.
They sat in silence, each engrossed in their morning routine. Jay scrolled through Weverse, replying to fans, while Sora checked her schedule. Finishing their meal, Sora got up from her seat.
"I'll lead you out, then I'll see you later at our session," she said.
Unfazed, Jay brushed his hair in front of her mirror. "Let's go together. We're heading to the same place at the same time."
"Mr. Park, do you think it's appropriate for people at the clinic to see us coming out of the same car? Rumors will spread," she warned.
"So what?" Jay responded, seemingly unbothered by potential gossip.
Sora, a fiercely stubborn woman who values her pride above all else, found herself at odds with luck that day. There were no cabs and the presence of a 6ft tall man standing next to her only intensified her irritation.
"Don't you think it'll be worse for you if you came late?" the man suggested.
Rolling her eyes in frustration, Sora reluctantly entered his car. Jay, a satisfied smile playing on his lips, seemed to relish the small victory.
Arriving at the clinic together, walking side by side, Jay and Sora exuded an intimidating presence, looking like a formidable duo. The allure of their combined presence had both men and women admiring them. Jay walked ahead and took a seat in the waiting room.
Sora, addressing Secretary Jungsuk, directed, "Please take Jay's files to my room and prepare his flashcard."
Jungsuk, eager and perhaps a bit too confident, nodded like an obedient puppy. However, he couldn't resist asking, "Sora, did you come here with Mr. Park?"
Her smile barely concealed irritation. "It's Ms. Jung to you, and I'm sure that my personal life is none of your concern. But... I'll let it slide since you're still a student." She ruffled his hair, giving him a threatening smile to assert her boundaries.
Watching the scene unfold, Jay smiled proudly at Sora, giving Secretary Jungsuk a childish grin. He playfully motioned a nono with his finger, subtly rubbing in the fact that he had won her over. However, the young intern surprised Jay by growing some horns and speaking up.
"Mr. Park, you better treat my Sora well, and as her patient, I don't think you should cross the line," the intern asserted.
Smirking, Jay confidently replied, "There isn't a line for me to cross." After delivering his line, he followed Sora to her office, leaving Jungsuk behind.
Mumbling under his breath, Jungsuk muttered, "Don't get too comfortable; karma is a bitch."
