I would never have opened the book based on the cover. And just by that, I would have missed the opportunity to enjoy a good read. We definitely should not judge a book by its cover. ‘Memoirs Of A Middle Child’ is well-written, better than most books I've seen on Wattpad. If you have not read this book, please do!

Cons: The blurb is okay for the genre but needed to draw me in, like the cover. The book began with a question most of us have asked ourselves, and we all have different answers. However, the transition from that thought-provoking question to the inquiry of men’s attraction to “invisible women” was a big jump. Consider gradually leading us into it with a smooth transition. As I continued through the book, the trend in transition remained. Also, I wished the chapters were longer since it was a good book overall.

Pros: Looking past all that, I enjoyed reading about Bory’s experience with the world and his relationship with his family, especially his grandmother. The detail of his new life in the Caribbean was similar to mine back in Jamaica. That’s why this book is so relatable. @Butterflies1980 I enjoy reading this memoir. With a few more edits, focussing on chapter lengths, transition, and character building, you will have an excellent literacy piece.

Title: 10/10 (I like the double meaning in the title).

Blurb: 19/20 (The third sentence in the blurb needs to be clarified).

Cover 20/20

Character: 15/20

Grammar & Vocabulary: 15/20

Overall Enjoyment: 9/10

Total: 88/100

I enjoy the suspense at the beginning of the book. You did a great job commanding your reader’s attention. A few bits of the book were a little confusing, but other than that, I was always on the edge of my seat, wondering what would happen next, and I had strong emotions towards the characters. You brought me from feeling panicked and sympathetic to angry at the behaviour of certain characters. In just the first couple of chapters, you succeeded in making me feel a wide range of emotions, and that says a lot. The length of the chapters was suitable for an online book. Work on charter building. As it’s an incomplete first draft, this book is a great start. I do not doubt you will have a refreshing masterpiece when this book is finished and edited. I could see this book being turned into a suspense movie. @TheWordArtistBooks, thank you for the privilege of judging this draft, and good luck with the finished product.
