1 Never Summer Again by daniavons
Title: 10/10 (I really love it. It may be my personal opinion but it sounds wonderful and interesting)
Blurb 17.5/20 (You could have made it shorter and snappier but overall it’s good)
Cover 17.5/20
Characters 18.5/20
Grammar and vocabulary: 19/20
Overall enjoyment 6.5/10 ( That’s my personal opinion but the chapters are very long and very detailed. You could have maybe cut out/shorted some of the actions that weren’t that important for the storyline, because that took away my reading fun, but everyone has their own taste about that.)
Total 89/100
2. THE ARROGANT BASTARD, STALKER AND ME by Dark_Queen_Writez
Title: 6.5/10 (I think that cursing in the Title isn’t the smartest thing to do because that often cause problems with Wattpad but I can understand that it’s “popular” in Mafia/Stalker book)
Blurb: 19/20 (I really love it but maybe you could have explained why the character act the way they do in the book because it’s a big spoiler)
Cover: 18/20
Characters: 20/20 (I love Vivianna, she seems so real)
Grammar and Vocabulary 14/20
Overall enjoyment 8.5/10 (It was really great but in one Chapter it was difficult to read the conversation because of the other languages.)
Total 86/100
3. Then, Now & Forever by Bunnychims
Title: 9.5/10 (so cute)
Blurb: 20/20 (It shattered my heart and that isn’t easy)
Cover: 17.5/20 (really pretty but not that eye-catching)
Characters: 20/20 (I’m obsessed)
Grammar and Vocabulary 20/20
Overall enjoyment: 10/10
Total 97/100
If I could I would give this book over 100 points and the price, it touched my heart. I’ve read so many books in my life but a very less of them touched my heart but this book did it. There are books that you will remember their words and books that you will remember the way the story touched you. This book is number 2!
4. Forgotten Promise by starshine182
Title: 10/10
Blurb: 17/20 (a bit short but better than very long)
Cover: 9/20
Characters: 16.5/20
Grammar and vocabulary: 12.5/20 (The mistakes aren’t that bad but it’s written in the present. That isn’t forbidden but the time setting with the writing style doesn’t match. It doesn’t sound that special/fancy. I know that is very difficult.)
Overall enjoyment: 5/10 (But that’s a matter of personal opinion)
Total: 70/100
I know there’s a lot of “bad” opinion but I hope that it maybe could help you. Here are some ideas:
1. Make the blurb a litle bit longer
2. Make a Cover with better quality and matching colors. If you can’t make covers you could order in a cover shop (I could also make you one if you want to).
3. If you want to write about a popular theme then make sure that your story has something special, something that no other story has.
4. Write in the past, it’s easy to read and to write; that’s the reason why 99% of the books you can buy in a bookstore are written in the past.
5. Use more adjectives.
5. What the heart wants by Ruth_Eze
Title: 10/10
Blurb: 20/20
Cover: 16/20 (It’s cute but not eye-catching and the pen name from your username doesn’t match with the pen name of the title.)
Characters: 17.5/20 (I love the way they react to each other)
Grammar and vocabulary: 18.5/20
Overall enjoyment: 7.5/10
Total 89.5/100
Your story was very good but that didn’t change the fact that you didn’t follow all the rules. Chapter 2 (Rules) Rule 3 (Follow your judge). The host reminded everyone and everyone did it after the reminder, except you. It isn’t that big of a deal but it’s unprofessional.
I hope that everyone can see a reason behind my decisions and no one feels like I didn’t do them enough justice. If anyone should feel that way, please write to me or the hosts. I want to thank the hosts (especially Hecares1) for letting me judge. I don’t know who the winner is but I wish everyone good luck, even if you don’t win you can be very proud of yourself for trying and hopefully everyone has now some ideas for the next contest. Maybe we see each other again!
