"Did you bring a bathing suit?" Kouvr asked as Tab and I followed her into her bedroom "oh no I forgot to have Vinnie stop at the house" she waved her hand in the air "that's alright you can borrow one from either me or Tab" she threw a white bikini at me and I tried it on and it fit pretty nice on me. I looked in the mirror and got a bit self conscious about my stretch marks so I covered my stomach with my arms "you look beautiful" Tabitha said as she came up behind me "think of them as your badass tiger stripes" I gave her a smile as she hugged me "who's ready for the hot tub?" Kouvr said grabbing both mine and Tab's hand leading us outside. Alex, Mike and Vinnie stayed inside to watch a football game and keep an eye on Ember, once we all got in and comfortable with our drinks Kouvr looked over "alright girl spill it" I smiled "well we did end up taking a bath and then you know one thing lead to another" they both smiled and squealed a bit "so does that mean you guys are back together?" Tab asked I shake my head 'no.'

"Why not?" Kouvr asked "you guys obviously have some sort of connection" Tab added "well we do but at the same time I still don't want to rush things since the whole start of this was built on a lie" I sink down more into the hot tub "sounds like you have several walls put up" Kouvr states "wouldn't you?" "I mean in a way but you're talking to a girl that moved from Hawaii to California with no plan to a guy that lived in a car with no plan." "Would you redo anything different?" I asked "of course I wouldn't, yes Alex and I struggled but we had each other and that's all that mattered to me I would do everything just the same even if what we have now wouldn't have been the outcome." I sat there in the silence for a moment "who do I fall back on if this doesn't work out?" I finally asked her "well that's the thing Y/n if you always worry about the worst possible outcome then you're not gonna stop and enjoy anything, but once you start letting go and trusting in people and yourself then I promise you that you'll start having the time of your life and besides you have yourself to fall back on Y/n."

I thought about what Kouvr said for the rest of the time that I was there and for the majority of the ride home, "What's on your mind cupcake?" Vinnie asked as he came back into the kitchen after putting Ember to bed. I walked over and grabbed his face kissing him, enjoying his embrace as he wrapped his arms around me, he pulled away and smiled but looked confused "what was that for?" "I trust you Vinnie, I will start leaning on you and I trust you" I looked up with tears in my eyes scared as hell but willing to throw every wall down even if I force it. He smiled and leaned his forehead on mine "I promise you Y/n I will take care and protect you and our daughter until my very last breath" he then pulled me into a tight hug and I must admit that I've never felt more safe than in that moment and I just ended up letting everything go crying into his chest.

He stroked my hair and kept me in the hug before I pulled myself away, I wipe my eyes before looking back up at him "you promise?" He smiled and took my hand before kissing it "I promise you" he held out his pinky waiting for me to wrap mine around. Once I did he held it close to his heart and placed a kiss on the top of my head, "I'll make sure I do my best for both of you" hearing that made me smile. I never wanted kids this young especially when I'm not married but I can confidently say that I couldn't have had a better father for my daughter.
