The avatar sea-gull dragons chirped as the sun shone brightly over the island the next day. Lo'ak's eyes blinked and he squirmed a little as he sat up. He realised his back was lying against something very warm, smooth scales. Tsu'tey purred as he woke. He raised his head to meet Tsu'tey's.
"Morning bro," Lo'ak, with recovered strength, stroked his head.
I'm so sorry I hurt you. Tsu'tey moaned.
"It's okay bro. I chose to take that risk to bring Neteyam back," he hugged his neck. "I'm just glad I didn't lose either of you,"
"Nice to see you're awake Lo'ak Sully," Tonowari's voice spooked Lo'ak from across the hut. He and his wife had awoken.
"We expected you to be awake before us but...you really needed more sleep than all the injured did," Aonung entered the hut, carrying fruit.
Lo'ak felt awkward at once. He had slept in the royal hut. "I slept in here all night?" he noticed the sea princess was missing. "But Tsireya..."
"She took your place in the Sully hut last night," Aonung said to him. "Now I believe there are two members waiting for your outside?" he offered a hand and helped Lo'ak up.
"Slowly. Slowly," Tonowari soothed, giving his son a hand as well.
"Thank you," he panted. He wasn't expecting this hospitality. "I hope I wasn't too much trouble,'
"We owed you," approached Ronal. "Big time. And your friend here,"
It was nothing. Tsu'tey purred.
"Lo'ak Sully, heed my words when I say this," Tonowari said grimly. "This connection you have to this strange power...no one beyond these borders can know anything about it. Especially the Sky people,". The boy nodded to that. "From now on, you must always notify your family or us whenever you go beyond these waters,"
"You have my word," Lo'ak promised. With all that had happened and with Tsu'tey's place among the people now, he no longer even had to worry about sneaking beyond the reef. "And thank you...for hearing me and my sister,". He gave the 'I see you' gesture to the chief and his mate before turning around and leaving the hut slowly with his spiritual brother.

Jake and Neteyam were waiting close by. They heard footsteps and stood up to see Lo'ak awake and fully recovered. And in an instant, Jake threw his arms around him, embracing him tightly. Then Neteyam joined in too.
Lo'ak was so happy to be in their arms again. "Dad what I said before about you favouring..."
"I love both of you equally," Jake expressed wholeheartedly for both his boys. "I never meant to make you feel that way,"
"I still shouldn't have accused you like that. And I'm sorry I disobeyed you all the time for believing that. I just wanted to prove myself. Not only to you but everyone around me. That I was more than some...freak,'
"You're not a freak," Neteyam comforted. "You didn't need to prove yourself at all. I should have done so many things differently as well. I was wrong to call you 'selfish' and accuse you of endangering our lives. And I definitely shouldn't have ratted you and Sylwa out like that. You were just trying to be a good friend, a good brother to Tsu'tey,"
"Where is Tsu'tey by the way?" wondered Jake. Right after he said that there was a large splash from underneath them and they bent down to see the Taquamare bobbing his head above the water. "How did you grow such an attachment to him?"
