"It's currently 9:00AM. Please report to the dining area. All admissions after 10:00AM will be barred from entering."
"Seriously... they should change that damn announcer voice before I smash the intercom."
"It'd be preferred if you didn't, Miss Killer."
You jumped from the bed, swiping the knife on the table and thrusting the voice in the direction of the voice, lowering it immediately after realizing that the voice came from behind your door. "Ah... um... what business do you have with me?" you sweatdropped from your stupidity, both greatly confused and embarrassed at your sudden outburst.
"May I enter? It's Sir Atalus."
You rushed to the door, hurrying to unlock the door. "Sorry, I couldn't greet you more properly, Sir."
The short male shook his head, entering the room as you closed the door behind him. "It's nothing. I have some news from Zhongli."
You turned to him surprised, yet remembering to keep up your act. "Ah... um... who is that again?" you blundered over your words, trying to cover up your knowing look, and trying to cover it with a curious face of innocence.
The dark-haired male scoffed. "I know you know who I'm talking about. I'm not called Truth Seeker for nothing, you know? Although I must applaud your efforts. Father would be pleased to know you are upholding your word."
You stared at him. "Wait, how do you—"
"How do I know your relationship to him? Simple; I'd be considered your half brother, seeing as for both of us, he is our father figure."
Your eyebrow cocked up, your eye twitching. "Ya' know... I don't trust people that easily."
He rolled his eyes, meeting your [e/c] eyes. "Younger sister Y/N, although I am your brother, you should still respect me. Although, I can't blame you for this. I was like you at one point as well." he sighed. "How about this." he started, but you cut him off.
"How about no and you just get to the point, eldest half-brother." you hissed, quite irritated, as you glanced at the clock.
He scoffed. "Alright, alright, I'll cut the chase." he grabbed your wrist, placing a gold badge into your hand. "Father says that he won't be able to come to your training room. So, you'll treat this as an infiltration mission."
You narrowed your eyes, turning your gaze back to him. "Infiltration?"
He shrugged. "No one's out after 9PM. You'll treat this as an infiltration, and get to this training room, he'll consider you qualified. And no, you can't just threaten the guards this time. He won't let that slide, mind you. That's all I can say."
You deadpanned, sighing. "Very well. Thank you Sir Xiao. If you don't mind, I'll excuse myself, seeing as the clock is about to strike 9:30."
Sir Xiao turned his back on you, leaving you in the room, the door closing behind. "Good luck, little one... good luck... even I could barely last a minute while trying to acquire that blood."
"Good luck, Y/N."

A/N: I apologize for the short chapter. To make up for it... I've included a second chapter (Sorry, that was also slightly rushed)! Enjoy!
