I strolled down the hallway when suddenly, a hand hauled me into the captain’s office. The door slammed shut behind me.

“Yeosang?” I questioned the unusually stoic expression.

He glanced deeper in the office. I followed his line of sight, slapping myself awake when I spotted another Yeosang who waved at me. I backed away from the Yeosang next to me, scanning his figure to confirm differences. He was adorn in all black whilst the other wore an oversized beige sweater. I glanced between the two, alternating in rising surprise.

“Cap? Are you sure this is Artemis?” Proximal Yeosang questioned.

By now, I noticed there were two captains. There seemed to be a dress code from the other dimension. Cromer was on the desk, basking in a ring of artificial fluorescent light.

“She seems shorter than usual and less coordinated.”

It was great to know both Yeosangs were sharp-tongued.

“State the reason for your visit.” The captain tapped his foot impatiently.

“Cromer sent me here twice. First as a warning and now for a final goodbye.” The other Hongjoong spoke. “As you know, Z-dimension is where I’m from. There were concerns that the dimensions could cross due to being close in proximity. According to the super string theory where our dimensions are curled into each other which allow crossing over. With time calculations in the volatile shifts between dimensions, it is possible for the guardians to jump, securing another ground as a means to ambush and dimension-X would do just lovely.”

What in the Hala Hala-

“Let me get this straight,”
Other Yeosang snorted. I glared at him before continuing.
“Interdimensional travel with you two and interdimensional soul swapping in my case?”

“Precisely, though it normally takes less time for you to connect the dots, Artemis.” The other captain commented, a hint of playfulness seeped through the seriousness.

“You weren’t the one with amnesia,” I crossed my arms, “and none of this makes any sense.”

“My dear, the complexities of life never made sense and yet we still keep living our lives.” The Z-dimension captain smiled with a hint of insanity.

“What is Yeosang doing here then?” I pointed at the one in beige.

“I made the predictions.” Yeosang perked up. "Why do you think I have pages of calculations?"

“And I was the one who taught you nearly everything you knew.” Z-dimension Yeosang unslung the bow around his shoulders. “Catch.”

The bow sailed through the air and I barely caught it before it touched the ground. I flipped the bow over, tracing over the figure of the lines. Signs of wearing indicated it was well-loved. Some arrows accompanying the bow were settled in a quiver by the captain’s desk.

“The others wanted to come though Cap said less is best.” Yeosang stepped over to inspect Cromer. “Your Cromer is smoother.”

“Alternate me,” Z-dimension Hongjoong spoke up, “I have to warn you about quite a number. Firstly, your side of the territorial dispute isn’t too favourable. I’ll take up long-range weaponry considerations. Artemis should be up for that job, that’s if she’s not rusty.”

I shifted my weight alternately under the collective attention, ranging from curiosity to affirmation. Dimension-X Hongjoong drew on his board, noting down strategies.

“I’d like to leave you a gift.” A shiny gun was dropped onto the table. “The recoil be warned.”

The gun was luckily on safety. Judging from the solid thud, the hand gun was relatively heavy for its size and mainly used offensively. Ammunition followed suit, rolling towards the gun and stopping as they met.
