Lee Minho ran through his house, pushing the furniture against the front door to block anyone from entering. As the sirens grew closer, he rushed into his now late father's bedroom. He locked the door before scurrying into his nest under the bed. He wept, holding his father's faintly scented clothing close to his chest as police pounded on the front door.

His beta father had been ill in the hospital for over a month. He only got a call from the hospital informing him of his father's death an hour ago. Minho wanted nothing more than to mourn the loss of his father, but he had worse things on his mind. Lee Minho was an Omega Cat hybrid. He wasn't married and no longer under his father's care. Under the law, all omega hybrids must live with a beta or alpha. Omegas were not allowed to hold ownership over anything. Because of that, the house he grew up in was now government property. He's grown up hearing horror stories about what happened to those omegas without a home. It was all theory, yet it terrified Minho as he thought of his future. He would hear of the government marrying them off to whoever was available. Some said they sent them out of the city to fend for themselves in nature. Others would speculate they would go to prisons to satisfy inmates and guards. Minho regrets not letting his father choose someone for him to marry. He was still young and naive. He was too immature to accept his fate. And now he faced the consequences of his actions.

A voice echoed throughout the house after a loud crash, "This is the police. We have a warrant out for Lee Minho. You are trespassing on government property. Revel yourself!"

Minho scoffed, flattening himself under his father's bed. It's been only an hour, and they're calling him a trespasser? What did they expect him to do?

Minho flinched as someone kicked down his father's door. Minho dried his tears as he watched feet flood into the room. Minho quickly threw his father's old work hoodie on, zipping it up. He knew the police wouldn't let him bring anything with him. He would pray that they wouldn't be cruel enough to take these clothes off his back. He only wanted at least one thing for his fathers to remember him by. Without warning, Minho felt a pair of hands grab his ankles, pulling him out from under the bed. Minho yelped from the force.

One of the officers pulled his hands behind his back, cuffing them together before pulling him to his feet. No one said a word to him as they dragged him out of his house. Minho bit his lip as he looked back at his childhood home for the last time. He stared at his feet as the officer put him in his cop car. Knowing he would melt down if he watched the familiar street disappear. Minho prayed as they drove. The anticipation of where he was going was killing him. He could only prepare his mind for the worst and hope for the best.

The car suddenly came to a halt. Minho looked up to see the officer roll down his window to show this wolf hybrid his ID. After the man scanned his ID, the car continued to move. They were driving closer to a concrete building with little to no windows. Was this a prison? Maybe a shelter? After parking the vehicle, the office got out to grab Minho. Minho was brought into a door entering the large gray building. It smelled like a hospital inside. He couldn't pick up anyone's scent but his and the officer holding him. They walked through multiple metal doors before finally entering a room that looked more lively than the rooms prior. A middle-aged woman was sitting at what appeared to be a reception desk, tapping away on the computer in front of her. The officer sat Minho on a bench before he left to talk with the other hybrid at the desk. Minho watched as the two chatted for a few minutes. The lady handed the officer a form to fill out. He watched as he moved the pen across the paper before handing it back to the lady. Soon after he filled out the form, two new hybrids entered the room to fetch Minho. The lady motioned them towards Minho, where they pulled him back up from his seat.

Minho was led further into the building. Minho was brought into a medical room and placed on the examination bed. He waited patiently as the two hybrids left the room, shortly replaced by a younger female. She looked to be a cat hybrid like him. Yet he still did not smell any scents coming off of her.
