Minho opened his eyes when he heard someone knock on his door. Minho slid out of his bed, "Coming!" He stretched his arms, grabbing his cards and putting them back in his hoodie. Minho opened the door, and a deer hybrid greeted him.

"Good morning, Minho," She said, "We paired you this morning to an alpha the doctors found best suit for you. Please come with me so I can take you to his room."

Minho would have assumed that there would be more to the process. Was he not going to be further informed? Minho closed the door behind himself as the deer hybrid turned to walk away. Minho followed behind her to the new room. They walked up to the 2nd floor of the building, walking to the end of the hall before the women stopped in front of a door. Minho looked at the plack on the door, B258 Han . The deer hybrid tapped her admin card on the card reader above the doorknob, opening the door.

She popped her head into the room, looking around before saying, "You can make yourself comfortable. Looks like Jisung isn't in his room right now. We already assigned your resident ID to this room, so feel free to explore or get breakfast. Mihae will be in the office at noon. She has a meeting scheduled with the two of you. Hopefully, you will both be available by then." With that, the women left Minho alone. Minho stood outside the new room, looking at it through the open door. Minho coughed as he walked in. The room stunk of the alpha who lived here. The whole room smelled like coffee.

Minho wasn't sure what to do in the meantime. It felt rude to touch anything in the room. He knew he was crossing boundaries by stepping into the other's room without permission. Alpha's were known to be territorial, just like their omega counterparts. Minho's parents taught him better than to walk into someone else's territory as if it were his own. After standing in the middle of the room, Minho sat on the sofa in the corner next to a stone fireplace. Minho froze on the couch as he listened to someone fiddle with the doorknob. He heard laughing coming from the other side before the door finally opened, and the man bid goodbye to someone.

The man was a squirrel hybrid with deep orange hair and fur. The squirrel hybrid froze as he looked at Minho before scoffing, "Really? A cat. A damn cat, this is what they assign me to?" The alpha set the items in his hand down on the nightstand next to his bed before faceplanting onto the mattress with a groan.

Minho bit his lip as he watched the other, "Sorry."

The squirrel lifted his hand to wave it. A muffled noise came out as he left his face pressed into the bed, "Not your fault. Just give me a second to process this."

Minho wanted to snip back at him. Process? He hadn't gotten a second to himself to process anything that had happened that day, and now this alpha was asking him to leave him alone to process. What was there to process? But Minho ultimately respected the other's wishes, watching him sulk into the mattress.

After a few minutes, the other spoke again, "Have they fed you breakfast yet?"

"No, they woke me up and brought me to your room," Minho told him. The worker didn't give him any information on what was happening. Coming into the room, Minho didn't know if they were a beta or alpha, what species, their name, or age. There was nothing.

The man shifted to sit upright on the bed, looking at Minho. He tilted his head, "Do you want me to call you in something? Or we could walk down to the cafeteria?"

Minho thought for a moment. He assumed the other had just got back from breakfast. It was still early in the morning, and one of the objects he had been holding when he walked in looked similar to his meal car. Deciding he didn't want to make the other go down twice, he spoke, "Can you call something in?"

He nodded, "Of course. Can you hand me your meal card? They have grits and bacon today. What did you want to drink?"

Minho reached into his father's hoodie before pulling out the meal card handing it to the alpha, "If they have any juices, that'd be lovely. If not, then just water."
