~~~Esha dramatically pushed open the door of her cabin, and inhaled deeply, letting the captivating smell of freshly brewed coffee enter her nostrils. The room was filled with the aroma of the brewed coffee that aroused the nerves of her brain in an instant.
"Oh, my my Nidhi. I swear you make the best coffee in the world. Those five minutes of your annoying presence in my cabin are always worth it because of the coffee. Honestly, I couldn't thank my mother enough to hire you. " Esha sniffled dramatically and Nidhi shook her head, aware of Esha's dramatic antiques.
"I assume, the house help cooked some delicious parathas for breakfast. Nothing else explains your good and dramatic mood early in the morning."
"Bingo! She cooked my favorite Aloo paratha with lots of ghee smeared on it. Believe me, the fragrance of the melted ghee is what got me out of bed today! What an amazing start to the day!" the therapist carried a satisfied smile reminiscing about the delicious morning meal.
"And it keeps getting better. Your unnamed admirer has yet again sent you flowers. The security person handed me these when I came. He said a delivery boy gave it to him."
Esha's eyes furrowed as there was a sudden shift in her demeanor, switching from jolly to confused and startled. On the third day in a row, she received the flowers, once again from a nameless sender and yet again bearing a card etched with her name in golden syllables.
"The flowers from yesterday haven't yet withered or dried. Where are we supposed to keep these?" The assistant whined and Esha looked around her cabin to find none of the waves empty to be claimed by the pink Buransh royalties.
"Should I feel delighted or threatened?" Esha asked as a strange fear crept inside her. What if it was a stalker or a serial killer trying to lure his prey? A chill ran down her spine at the latter thought and cursed herself for the extremities of her overthinking.
I need to lower the amount of crime podcasts I listen to.
"Either of them is wrong and right. But suspicion could be something right. Should we find out who the sender is?"
"How?"
"By enquiring the delivery person. Tomorrow morning when he comes to deliver the flowers we'll trap him and interrogate him about the sender," Nidhi said in confidence.
"Are you sure?" Esha was unsure of this plan.
"Of course I am. Don't we need to find out who it is?"
"Umm...okay, if you say so."
"But what about these flowers? Where are we putting them? Or should we just let it be in the bouquet?"
"There are a lot of flower pots throughout the building. We can just put them in any one of them. The one just outside the cabin needs new flowers too so we might put the new flowers there."
Nidhi agreed and carrying the bouquet in one hand walked out of the cabin. Esha walked to her window for some fresh morning breeze. It was like an everyday ritual for her to start her day before attending to her patients, to stand at the window of her cabin which faced the garden, and inhale the fresh and cold morning breeze.
