Malena bares her fangs towards the incoming presence.

"Five...seven...twelve...sixteen... and even more are coming", she says while focusing on east, her bright and cheerful demeanor now completely gone. Her eyes turning red immediately as the presence was felt. It's as if she's switched to being a different person entirely.

"That's already a lot of them on the move, but they don't know we are here though", Luci now speaks up.

"Do we engage them now master? I'm thinking the two of us is more than enough to take them on. Or do we just pick them off one by one once they get near this area? We have lots of other options as well. We do have the element of surprise on them, since they certainly wouldn't expect us to attack or even be out here during the day, we can take them all on right here. We - I mean - I might not be able to use the shadows as efficiently, but at least we won't have to worry about the sunlight, and we can just rely on our curse powers. Not only that, but we also have the option of leading them towards the rest of our squad and dealing with them in a full on fight. It will be really simple as well if both of us are there. This is a corrupted zone after all, and we can think about why they would even try to come this close to us later." Malena suggests to Luci.

'As expected from her'. Luci was not surprised by the fact that Malena was able to quickly think of a some possible responses to the situation. She has proven herself to be extremely useful in battle. Which is expected given the amount of training she's gone through at her coven, and the experience she has obtained in the outside world. Not to mention the fact that she is a part of the best assault squad in the vampire world.

However, as good as some of those plans were, Luci already had something in mind even before they came here.

"Not bad. Those are some viable options." Luci says. Malena simply responds by bowing her head and showing him a soft smile.

"However, I am more than enough to handle this situation by myself. You can go back to our squad instead."

Malena looks at him with a slight shocked expression on her face. "Yes, but... you haven't eaten for while now master. I wouldn't want you to do too much work by yourself." She responds to his statement with the utmost respect.

Luci walks up to her and puts his left hand over her left shoulder, reassuring this woman.

"Don't worry about me too much". He says in his usual monotonous voice. "I am fully aware of what I can and cannot do."

"And besides..." he speaks again as he takes a big jump over the top of the mountain. And just before the sunlight hits him...

"To me", he whispers to himself.

Just like last time, he undergoes a change in appearance. His body is immediately covered in darkness, with dark particles dancing through the air around him, like smoke oozing out of his body, with bright red circles visible fom where his eyes used to be. His arms spread out, and his knees close to his chest.

Malena looks up to his master's figure high up in the air, admiring the beauty of the dark shroud he surrounded himself with. The sight alone almost brought her over the edge, as she started feeling a tingling sensation in her nether regions.

"... I need a warm up"

The cold breeze at the top of the mountain remains unchanging. The north has never failed to show it's merciless nature to the rest of the world.

As the sun, still in its slow ascent to the sky, illuminates all throughout the land, a dark figure can be seen gliding down the the top of the mountain, conrrasting the white of the snow falling on the ground. The figure leaves a trail of black smoke on the air, as it continues its slow descent from the mountain.
