Light flowed through my eyelids as curtains were pushed open. I groaned and wanted to turn, facing away from the window, but I was kept firmly in my place by two arms. I immediately smiled as I felt his arms around me. The last thing I remembered is that I fell asleep on the couch, but this felt more like the bed... but who just opened the curtains if Charles was still laying behind me?
My eyes opened and I was greeted by a smiling Pierre, who was holding a goddamn phone. "You asshole." I groaned as he chuckled and put the phone away.
"You two are so cute. I knew that you two would end up together." Pierre's smile was pure joy. How did he already know that we...
The clothes. Of course. We left our wet clothes in the bathroom and my robe was still in the backyard.
Someone yawned behind me and I tried to turn around in his arms, smiling as I saw his tired face. "Morning." I said with a smile.
"Good morning." Charles whispered before kissing me softly, clearly not seeing Pierre at the other end of the bed. I pulled away and leaned back a bit. And Charles eyes widened when he saw his best friend at my side of the bed.
"Good morning, mate." Pierre said excitedly. God he was so happy that Charles and I were together. As if he was planning this since we were 12.
"Morning, Pierre." Charles said irritated and I chuckled at the two guys in my room.
I was going to miss this. We were going back home this night. Because Pierre and Charles were still celebrating Christmas with family. And of course I was going to join Pierre the 2nd day of Christmas to meet his parents in France.
"So it is almost afternoon, and I don't want to know what you two did staying up all night, but we need to pack and get the ski's back." Pierre said and I opened my mouth, ready to explain last night. But he already walked out before I had the chance to do so.
"I'm not ready to get out of bed." Charles said and snuggled his head in the crook of my neck. His lips grazed my skin and I immediately felt my pulse race.
"We need to, we have a long day ahead." I replied and a muffled groan came from behind me as Charles sat up.
I did the same and watched as he took a hand through his messy hair. God he was so handsome when he looked like this, all sleepy and messy.
"If you keep staring at me like that we surely won't get out of bed anytime soon." His words made my cheeks tingle and I gave him a cheeky grin.
"Sounds acceptable." I said, my ego being the bigger one here. Charles' heated gaze found mine and within a second he had me in his arms and was kissing me, soft and gentle. Nothing like the heated gaze he just had in his eyes. For a few seconds I kissed him back, but then I pulled back. We had a lot of packing to do and needed to get everything ready to go. Like Pierre said.
"Later, okay? There's a lot to be done." I gave him a weak smile. I didn't want to leave the comfort of his arms, but we had all the time back in Monaco.
"Fine." Charles whispered before locking his lips on mine one more time. "God you're so gorgeous."
My whole body heated up at his words and I felt myself getting small. I never thought of myself as gorgeous. But I wasn't bad looking either. But I wasn't like models. My black hair wasn't pin straight, nor were the curves of my body flawless. I was a body pure of muscles and bruises. Not a model or something like that.

We were all packed, the bags were in the garage and we got the ski's back to the rental. We were now walking back to the cabin, Pierre in front while Charles and I were behind. His hand had slipped into mine the moment we left the rental and I couldn't keep the smile hidden that was on my lips the whole time.
"Hey, Brie." Pierre called over his shoulder as he held his phone to his ear. "My parents are coming to your place."
I looked confused at him. I thought we were going to Rouen in two days... "Why?" I asked.
"They want to see your new place. And wanted to see Charles." Pierre said with a wink. God of course he already said we were together now. But were we? We weren't actually together. We didn't make it official.
I looked up at Charles, wondering if he maybe thought about it too. I was too shy to ask him now. But he was looking at his screen with no idea of what I was thinking. "Well... I guess I have to get my house ready for some guests then." Luckily my penthouse was big enough to house multiple people. I had one guest room and a couch, so around three or four people could stay the night.
Pierre smiled at me and went back to talking on the phone. I squeezed Charles hand to get his attention. "Do you want to celebrate with us?" I asked as his gaze moved from his phone to me.
"I'd love to..." Charles started, "but I have brothers and a mother at home waiting for me." He squeezed my hand and gave me an apologetic smile.
"Oh... I understand." I smiled back at him.
Charles' face fell, but then immediately lightened up. "How about you invite us to your place? Celebrate with everyone?" Charles suggested and my frown formed into one big smile.
"That sounds perfect!" Charles and I could celebrate Christmas together and have our family around us... it would be a perfect Christmas.
He kissed the top of my head as we kept walking back to the cabin. We were going to pack the car and then leave.
I glanced to my right, where snow was lying on a big pile. I smiled and wiggled my hand out of Charles', jumping towards the pile and grabbing a handful of snow. Charles turned around to see why I left behind, and his eyes widened. I grinned as the snowball raced for his chest, only to land in his face...
I burst into laughter as Charles stumbled backwards and wiped the snow off his eyes. I doubled over and shook my head while trying to catch my breath. "I'm so sorry." I wheezed.
Strong arms pressed me against a solid body and my laughter slowly trailed off as my gaze found his. The world disappeared and the only thing left was him... "Sure you are." Charles said as he wiped the tears from my cheeks. God I was laughing so hard that I started to tear up.
I returned the favour and got the snow off his face. "I'm really sorry." I gave him a smile that said otherwise, but that smile was gone within the second his lips crashed onto mine. I kissed him back as my hands trailed from his cheeks to the back of his neck. I clanged onto him as his arms folded behind my back and pressed me closer to his body.
"Hey! We don't have all day." Pierre yelled from further down the street. He must've noticed that we had stopped.
I pulled away from Charles' arms and took his hand again, pulling him with me towards Pierre. "Sorry, P." I apologised to Pierre, he must've felt like a third wheel.
"No worries. I'm glad you two are finally on terms." He glanced from me to Charles. "And I'm happy that I won't have to listen to paragraphs of Charles talking about you anymore." Pierre grinned as his gaze slowly trailed back to me. Was he serious? Did Charles talk about me all the time? Pierre quickly walked back towards the cabin, while I was so stunned that I couldn't take a step.
"I didn't know you were crushing on me for weeks?" I questioned as Charles turned to me with a sigh.
"More like months." Charles' gaze went back to where Pierre was walking innocently. "I'm going to kill him." He said through gritted teeth.
Words melted on my tongue. I was completely speechless. Instead of talking I stood on my toes and lifted myself to level with Charles. His head turned back and a smile spread across his face. I let my hands slip behind his head and pulled him in for another kiss, which he accepted desperately.
The kiss lasted longer this time. Since Pierre didn't mind interrupting this time. I couldn't help but melt into Charles' arms, he was so much of a comfort that I couldn't help myself as my body completely collapsed into his touch. I hadn't felt this kind of comfort for so long, I almost forgot how it felt like to be...
Loved.

After three hours of driving through the snowy landscape it was Charles his turn to drive. I did the first three hours, and now Charles and Pierre needed to finish the trip. It was around 7 in the evening. Not late yet, but I was already feeling sleepy. If I were correct we were back in Monaco around 1 a.m. So we could sleep the rest of the night, thankfully.
"My parents are arriving around 10 tomorrow." Pierre said as I took a seat in the passenger seat and buckled up.
"Perfect. Then I can sleep for a bit before they arrive." Charles started the car and we headed onto the highway again.
"How late will we dine? I still need to get some groceries." I let my head fall back and closed my eyes. Those past three hours felt like they were ten times longer.
"How about seven? My mother needs to work until six." Charles said.
"Alright." I opened my eyes and found his gaze through the mirror as he watched me. I gave him a tight smile and closed my eyes again. I really needed some sleep before we arrived back home.

I slept like a baby the whole car-ride. I didn't even wake up at the next stop. Only when we stood still and someone touched my cheeks I had woken up. My eyes fluttered open and I got greeted by a smiling Charles. "Slept well?" He asked as he unbuckled me. I rubbed my eyes to get the sleep out and got out of the car.
I nodded and went to the back of the car, getting my bags out of the trunk, only to have found them already on the ground. "Thanks." I said as Pierre handed a bag to me, holding the other one himself. "Should we go upstairs?" I asked towards Pierre. But I said it loud enough so Charles could hear it too.
"I need to go back home. I still need to give Max his car back." Charles said and I turned to look at him. Pierre mumbled something and I listened as his footsteps disappeared.
"This late? Shouldn't he be asleep?" It was around one in the morning, normally everyone would be asleep by now.
"He's still awake, he just texted." Charles said as he stepped towards me. He stepped into my space and I didn't step back. His body was only inches away from mine and I could feel his hot breath on my face. His hand snaked around my waist. "I'll see you tomorrow, Brigitte." He smiled down at me and I completely melted when I saw his dimples appear.
"See you tomorrow." I said as I took a step back, not giving him what he clearly wanted. What I wanted. My heart ached for him to kiss me. But I knew better. I needed him begging to kiss me.
A hand grabbed mine and I was pulled back in an instant. My body slammed into his and he placed a hand on my waist to keep me stable on my feet.
"Not so fast, mon amour." Charles' lips were inches from mine and I could practically feel his touch mine. I leaned back the slightest, not giving him the satisfaction.
"What? I was heading off to sleep." I said as I looked up at him innocently. "Was there something you needed?" I asked, clearly toying around with him.
"You know exactly what I need." Charles said as his hand moved from my hand to my face, cupping my cheek.
"Hm, I'm not so sure. What is it you need?" A grin formed on my lips as I watched his eyes turn into longing for something.
"You." He said before pulling me against him and kissing me hard. My grin immediately fell and I kissed him back as I draped my arms around his neck.
After what felt like eternity I leaned back, leaving his warm touch. "See you tomorrow." I said before stepping out of his embrace and turning around.
I walked back to the door, feeling his gaze on me like a burn. When I got to the door I turned around and gave him a tight smile before getting inside. He walked back to the car and got in, he started the car and was gone within seconds.
I sighed and took the elevator up to my house.
