"So, who's the lucky maggot?" Eunice and Seto hid behind the car once Azahii spotted them. "Are you guys seriously hiding? I could blow the car up and you'll be goners..."

They did not respond to him.

He sliced it in half before it exploded, nevertheless, no retort was perceived in the smoke. "Why do I have to chase you guys."

Hence, Azahii vanished in search of Eunice and Seto.

"DAMN IT!!"

Eunice held Seto on his back while running for his life. "We have to find a way to escape the city on foot."

"Mister Eunice, why don't I just draw that?" Seto asked, still highly confident in his ability.

"Because you will have to stay in one place to do that. Also, he knows the disadvantage of your prowess. Paint prowess can alter reality into a form fit for the user. But if used on real-life objects or people, one slight before the painting is at work will cancel its effect."

"Right, I said that back at the base...this is bad."

Eunice stopped and entered one of the buildings. "Alright, you stay here and hide somewhere. I'll buy you some time and keep him busy."

"No! You can't do that, he'll kill you instantly!" Seto insisted.

"What other option do we have? Either fight or flight...and I am NOT backing away from my position as vice-captain."

"That's funny, I said the same thing..."

Azahii sliced the bottom of the building, leaving them falling from their floor.

CRASH!!

Eunice protected him and Seto with an ice shell.

"You, I know you! You are a member of the Rebirth guild, why do such a crime?!"

"Crime? I don't know what you're talking about. I am just following orders from above, and it says your time on earth is over...Eunice Native."

"...so the boss wanted me dead?" Eunice held his sword to Azahii and built up spiritas. "Well screw it! I will defeat you right here and now!"

Seto froze in place as he felt both men prepare for battle. ("Damn it, I don't know what to do. If I join in, I'll get killed since I can't even see him.) Crap!"

He turned around and began running in a straight path along the street.

"I won't let you escape."

~ICE PROWESS: ICE SHARDS!!

Eunice fired away at Azahii, but he was already one step ahead. He dodged a few while recoiling others back to him.

"That won't work against me! My shards will return to my target until it hits you!"

"You don't say..."

Seto could not stop tripping off potholes or bumping into a street light, but that did not stop him from running. He smelled food on his right, it hinted at an old store.

"DAMMIT! Why am I running away?! Vice needs me now...but I can't even see who we're facing." Seto was indecisive about whether to fight or keep fleeing.

"Maggot! I know you're hiding in this neighborhood, come out if you don't want your dear Vice to die."

Azahii's voice struck fear into Seto, leaving him frozen in his hiding spot. "Come on, if you stop hiding I will make it quick. I'll count until 10."

Seto did not have the mental stability to think straight. Eunice was covered in his shards from earlier, barely hanging onto life.

"1"

("Dammit, what can I do?! I can't die here...but I also can't let Eunice die too...")

"S...SETO, SILK HAIR, NINE SHARDS ON CHEST, BLOOD...ON FACE!!"

Eunice started spouting out his state to Seto, which confused Azahii.

"2, 3"

("T...that's his features, YES I HAVE AN IDEA!")

"4, 5, 6"

"SWORD...BY NECK, ON KNEES, DESTROYED ARMOR!"

("What is he up to?) 7, 8, 9!"

Eunice closed his eyes and clenched his teeth. Azahii did not even think of giving him another second.

"Hmm, guess he just didn't care...Vice Captain."
