"..."
Eunice found himself crouching between a crowd of people, without a single scratch on him. "What...where am I?"
He stood up and approached one of the civilians.
"Excuse me, Sir. May I ask where we currently are?"
"Oh, young boy we are on the Eve-rend bridge in Blackburn. Small city, but it's the closest you'll see to safety from these ronin attacks."
"I...see, Seto must have sent me away to avoid my end." He mumbled to himself. "Seto...please don't die on your own."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Azahii was still startled by Eunice's disappearance.
"What the hell?"
"IT WORKED!"
Seto completely forgot to compromise his hiding spot and blurted out his excitement. "I can't believe it, the Eve-rend bridge! I drew it perfectly; I'M GETTING BETTER AND BETTER EVERY DAY!!"
("Is he trying to test my patience?") Azahii stood right in front of Seto, but no reaction was received. He held his blade to his back, but Seto was still praising his efforts. ("He's not flinching...this kid must want me to try something.) Hey, Maggot."
"...!!!"
Seto jumped away from Azahii but ran right onto the wall. "OUCH!!"
"Am I some kind of joke to you?"
"Wait, you were here the whole time?! How did I not sense your presence?"
Azahii was furious. "I see you want to die so badly!"
"AH, WAIT!!"
He swung his sword to Seto's head but guarded his chest.
"..."
"EEK!"
"TCH, TAKE THIS!"
Azahii swung it to his legs, but Seto guarded his face. "Okay, you either have to be retarded or playing games here. I've never seen a clown act so DUMB when he's about to die!"
"Hey, that's not something nice to say to someone. And for the record, I know I won't die here! I made a promise that I would retain Legon City with my sister and mom!!"
Azahii watched as Seto yelled at the wall. "Oh my god...you're blind?" Azahii asked disappointedly.
"Yeah, what is it to you?!"
"How the hell does that even make sense? You have the power to alter futures with your art...but you can't see what you draw?"
"It's...a long story..."
Azahii restrained his sword and pulled two chairs for them. He guided Seto to the chair and sat down. "I'm interested in what you have to say, go ahead."
"I thought you were going to kill me?" Seto said in fear.
"I still am,"
"WHAT?!"
"Depending on what you have to say."
Seto swallowed up and breathed out. "Okay...what, do you want to know?"
"I want to know who you are and what is this ability of yours. And make good caution of your words."
"ALRIGHT, alright! My name is Seto Kaname, I am 10 years old and born in Blackburn. I have a dream to become a member of a Quarts guild, but I was...born blind. So, I could not become the hero I aspired to be."
"I see...so you are a Kaname? Never heard of them before."
"My mom said that we descend in the Yakuza category."
"Makes sense...Yakuzas are well known for breeding children with mythical prowesses."
Seto stared where he heard the voice. "You know so much about this, sir. Who are you?"
"Azahii, I'm a bad guy."
"I know that! I'm asking a little more about yourself."
"Who cares? You make it sound as if we are going to be friends."
"Well...I told you about me, at least let me know I can trust you?"
"Don't"
Seto gave up on trying to reason with Azahii.
"I just want to know about your prowess, so get on with it."
"...I have the painting prowess, manipulation of upcoming events. I can alter someone's future by drawing what will or might happen to them, all depending on their fate level. A high one means they can't escape my future...if not, my drawing gets altered instead."
Azahii flinched to that disadvantage. "Meaning if your drawing is altered, that future is bound to happen instead?"
"Scary right? It only happened once...that's how we lost my dad. I thought I could draw him defeat you guys in a flash, next thing I knew the drawing disappeared...so did he."
"...I see, well this is a heavy gamble kid but..."
Azahii held his arm up. "Lift your arm towards me, then we can shake hands on it."
"Don't people only do that to make a deal?"
"Exactly, I need you to draw a fate...where I steal fifty percent of Gaiyato's prowess."
