"This beach is the best!" Lance cheered as the black dresses alpha, pulled the motorbike to the side. Stopping the engine, and watching how the beta got off and ran towards the waist-high rock wall. He observed the smile on the beta's face and how the chocolate-colored hair moved in the wind; the signs of a black eye were gone by now. "Breathtaking," Keith said, not noticing how he wasn't looking at the scenery.

"Hurry!" Lance yelled, waving to the alpha to follow him. Lance started running on the sandy trail leading down to the beach. Keith followed behind, finding a smile on his own lips. A smile he had noticed being more and more frequent, the more he hung out with the beta.

Lance ran all the way to the seawater's start, watching as waves came in. "Do you like the ocean?" Keith asked, having caught up by now. Lance nodded and took a deep breath stretching out his arms as to catch the pleasant wind. It looked funny, to Keith.

"So, your brother is still an idiot?" Lance asked, tilting his head in the direction of the alpha. "Yeah, I haven't forgiven him yet," Keith replied.

"Will you?"

"I don't know," "maybe?"

"I wish I had a sibling to forgive."

"I know I should be grateful I have a brother that cares..."

"No, Keith don't feel guilty about your emotions" Lance snapped his arms, falling to his side as he turned to face the alpha. He stared at him with serious eyes.

"our situations are different. Your feelings aren't less valid just because my situation is worse. It's okay to be mad at him... Just as you are mad at me for not being mad at them."

"Well, you should, they have treated you horribly. I would have been so mad that I wouldn't have forgiven them, not even if they begged me to."

"Just as I think you should forgive your brother already, everyone can make a mistake, we can have different opinions on this, and that's okay. Just as everyone can be awkward at times too."

Keith looked into the ocean blue eyes and the face that looked golden thanks to the sunlight reaching his skin. Feeling warmth inside his chest. He nodded slightly, the anger he had inside him floating away.

"I guess you're right about that...but Lance you sure you aren't bottling anything up? Aren't you sad?"

"Well, of course, I am, but I can't just let that get me down. I met you thanks to all of this, and I regard that as a blessing!"

Keith stopped in his tracks as the words left Lance's lips, Lance moving back to face the ocean. The wind gently touched them both. He bit his lip looking down on the sand. Trying to figure something out. Feeling like his mand was completely empty from that compliment. Had he ever heard someone say they were thankful for him?

"You do? Damn...that's... I didn't know you were religious."

"Maybe I started?"

Lance's reply came with a light, playful hit to the side of Keith's arm, together with a sudden push. Just hard enough to make Keith lose his balance, and with that, he stumbled forward right into the ocean. Lance looked at the alpha who roared as cold water his body and laughter soon followed the splash. Lance was laughing so hard that he had trouble standing on his feet.

"Now you've done it!" Keith yelled, his tone playful. As he spurted towards Lance, wanting to bring him into the water too. Now their conversation had turned into a game of chase. Keith doing his best to get Lance drenched in water also.

After a while, the two teens stood soaked, water dripping from their hair and clothes and laughing loudly. "Nope, I don't believe in god, but I think every bad thing that happens to me will result in an equally good thing later. You're my god thing," Lance said smiling as he shivered "damn it's cold, let's go" Lance hurried out of the water and started running towards the same trail they had gotten down from. He hoped that if he ran, he could get dry quicker.

Keith stood on the water a little longer, just watching Lance. He felt weird; this warmth was something he had never experienced before. At least he couldn't remember it having felt like this when he had hung out with that guy...

*later*

"So Lance, have your mother contacted you again?"

"Hu nope, she hasn't, but I figure that he caught her when she brought me some of my stuff last time."

"I see, and how is Coran treating you?"

"Well, nice, he is really sweet, and working is fun too. It makes it easier to not think of everything bad that happened"

"Yeah he is a kind soul isn't he, I wouldn't think he would have taken you in like that"

"Nope me either, but I'm glad he did. I didn't like that motel very much, and it's nice having someone else in the apartment I don't like being alone."

"You don't?" "But being alone is nice; you can do anything you want."

"Yeah, I know that, and being alone from time to time is nice, but I don't like living on my own or being on my complete lonesome for too long..it hurts me; it's hard to explain."

"I see, well, you are very social of you, so should we get back now, or do you want to stay here long?"

"Nope, we can go, let's talk about the science project later then?"

"Sounds good!"

They both walked towards the bike, still not fully dry, and started the not-too-long and not-short journey back home. Both having something on their minds.
