Chapter 3: The First Date

Sheryna was determined to find Mr. X the perfect match, so she set him up on a blind date with a woman named Emily. She had carefully selected Emily based on her interests and personality, and she was confident that they would hit it off.

The day of the date arrived, and Sheryna was feeling nervous. She had never set anyone up on a blind date before, and she wanted everything to go smoothly. She had given Mr. X some tips on how to impress Emily, but she couldn't help but worry that something would go wrong.

As Mr. X arrived at the restaurant, Sheryna watched nervously from a distance. She had instructed him to wear a nice suit and bring a bouquet of flowers, and she was relieved to see that he had followed her advice.

Emily arrived a few minutes later, and Sheryna watched as Mr. X stood up to greet her. They shook hands awkwardly, and Sheryna could tell that they were both feeling nervous.

"Hi, I'm Emily," she said, smiling nervously.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Mr. X," he replied, handing her the bouquet of flowers.

Sheryna watched as they sat down at the table and ordered drinks. They made small talk for a few minutes, but Sheryna could tell that the conversation wasn't flowing as smoothly as she had hoped.

"So, Sheryna tells me that you're really into hiking," Mr. X said, trying to break the ice.

Emily nodded, her eyes lighting up. "Yes, I love hiking! I try to go on a new trail every weekend."

Mr. X smiled, looking relieved that he had found a topic that they could both talk about. "That's really cool. I've been meaning to get into hiking myself, but I haven't had the chance yet."

They continued to chat about hiking for a few more minutes, but Sheryna could tell that something was off. There was a tension between them that she couldn't quite put her finger on.

As they ordered their food, the conversation turned to more personal topics. Emily asked Mr. X about his job, and he launched into a long-winded explanation of his work in finance.

Sheryna watched as Emily's eyes glazed over, and she knew that the date was starting to go downhill. She wished that she could step in and save the day, but she knew that she had to let them work things out on their own.

As the night wore on, Sheryna watched as Mr. X and Emily chatted and laughed over dinner. But something still didn't feel right. She couldn't shake the feeling that there was something off about Mr. X.

After the date, Sheryna met with Emily to get her feedback. Emily seemed to have mixed feelings about the date.

"Mr. X seemed like a nice guy, but I don't think we really clicked," Emily said, shrugging her shoulders.

Sheryna nodded sympathetically. "I'm sorry to hear that. Was there anything in particular that didn't work for you?"

Emily thought for a moment before replying. "I don't know, it just felt like we didn't have much in common. And he talked a lot about his job, which was kind of boring."

Sheryna nodded, making a mental note to give Mr. X some feedback. "I understand. Well, thank you for giving it a chance. I'll keep looking for someone who's a better match for you."

As Emily left, Sheryna couldn't help but feel disappointed. She had put so much effort into finding the perfect match for Mr. X, but it seemed like it was going to be a lot harder than she had anticipated.

She decided to give Mr. X some feedback on the date and see if they could work together to make things better. She sent him a message the next day, asking to meet up and discuss how things had gone.

When they met, Sheryna was honest but gentle in her feedback. She told Mr. X that Emily had enjoyed his company but didn't feel like they had much in common. She also suggested that he try to talk less about his job and more about his hobbies and interests.

Mr. X seemed receptive to the feedback, and Sheryna felt hopeful that they could find a better match for him in the future. She was determined to keep trying until she found the perfect match for him.
