I got up out of bed and went outside and sat down on the steps admiring the moon. Till I saw someone pass by.

"Jean is that you"? I asked out loud. The figure turned around and looked at me.

"Y/n what are doing up so late"? Jean asked me surprised by the fact I was up.

"I just couldn't sleep Jean come sit next to me it's been a while since we last talked". I told him and patted a spot next to me he soon approached me and sat down.

"How have you been Jean"? I asked him.

"Everything going good I have made some new friends". Jean said to me with a smile on his face.

"I have to who did you manage to befriend"? I asked him curiously.

"Potato girl, Connie, Marco, and surprisingly Sam". Jean said.

"Sam his ass could befriend a rock if he wanted to he has always been a dumbass". I said snickering.

"You know Sam"? Jean asked.

"Yeah, I have known him for 2 years we are besties we always talk and send each other notes we have been like two peas in a pot I remember one time we got in trouble and we spent the whole day running from the military police"! I said laughing.

"Really what did you do"? Jean asked me intrigued.

"We got paper and wrote pig on it and stuck it to every military police we saw we would always prank them"! I said chuckling.

"Why do you hate the military police so much"? Jean asked me.

"That's a story for another time but I think you will join a good regiment I'm not too fond of military police". I told him.

"What regiment are going into"? Jean asked.

"The survey corps". I said proudly.

"The survey corps are you crazy"!? Jean said surprised.

"Yes I do I have wanted to survey in the survey corps since I was 9 I would train all day and night with Miss Aiko to make me strong"! I said excitedly.

"Seriously you have been training that long that's like 3 years of training is that why you are good at all the practice we have"? Jean asked intrigued.

"Yeah, I have been training intensely and never stopped my mentor gave me a book that had instructions about how to improve but a couple of pages have it in language I don't understand". I told Jean he seemed interested.

"That's good do you guys still talk"? Jean asked me.

"No there kind of you know dead". I said there was an awkward silence till Jean spoke up.

"That's rough buddy". Jean said awkwardly and patted me on my back. This made me laugh.

"That's rough buddy is that all you could think of". I said while laughing his face grew red from embarrassment.

"Hey, I dont know what else to say you caught me off guard y/n". Jean said while trying to cover his face.

"It's okay Jean-boy it is okay it happened a while ago I lived but she didn't". I say jokingly I love dark humor.

"Y/n did you just make a joke"? Jean asked trying not to laugh.

"Yeah come on everyone loves a bit of dark humor it hilarious it's okay for you to laugh"! I said while chuckling. Jean eventually gave in and started to laugh as well. Then the laughing died down.
